Breck Spring Fever Festival is Underway!
BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. — March 19, 2012 —Breck is entering the final month of the ski season with a fever… Spring Fever that is! Breckenridge Ski Resort’s month-long Spring Fever Festival is officially underway around the ski area and Town of Breckenridge. This weekend kicks off the much anticipated, BudLight concert series, featuring Julian Marley on Saturday and New Orleans’ Soul Rebels Brass Band on Sunday.
Here’s the full schedule of this week’s Spring Fever Events:
3/21 WEDNESDAY:
BRECK ASCENT SERIES RACE #4, 5:30 p.m.
This race is the fourth in this five-race series. The race consists of just the Ascent - use any kind of way to get up the mountain, but skis or a snowboard are required to come back down. This race will start at the Beaver Run Parking Lot on Peak 9 up to Lower Lehman, and finish at the warming hut at the top of Peak 10.
3/22 THURSDAY:
KSMT SPRING FEVER COMEDYSERIES 8:30 p.m., $5 cover.
Host Chuck Roy will guide you through a night of comedy at the Park Avenue Pub in the Village at Breckenridge with opener Nora Lynch and headliner Phil Palisoul. Phil Palisoul’s well-polished stand-up routine has made him a huge hit at comedy clubs, cruise ships, casinos and corporate events across the country. He’s performed on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, NBC’s Last Comic Standing, and has opened in concert for such legendary comedians as Jerry Seinfeld and Dennis Miller. Parking in the F-Lot downtown is FREE and right across from the Park Avenue Pub.

BRECK 5 ‘TIL 5 TERRAIN PARK HAPPY HOUR 2-5 p.m.
Presented by Freeskier and Snowboard Magazine, the popular 5 ‘til 5 terrain park event is back! Starting Friday, March 23rd, 5 ‘til 5 lets park riders cruise Breck’s Park Lane Terrain Park until 5 p.m., with both the 5 Chair and the Colorado SuperChair operating one extra hours on Fridays during Spring Fever. 5 ‘til 5 will also have free food, beverages, music, giveaways and jam style contests. Contest prizes include gear from various ski and snowboard companies, Mountain Dew, Rockstar, season passes and more.

Join Breck and EpicMix for our first ever EpicMix Scavenger Hunt this Saturday, March 24. Connect with fellow EpicMixers in an on-mountain scavenger hunt, compete in challenges, earn EpicMix pins, and celebrate Spring Fever! Solve riddles to unlock special EpicMix virtual pins in various locations throughout Breck. Registration is $10 for 1 person and $25 for a team up to 5 people.

3/25 SUNDAY:
BUDLIGHT CONCERT SERIES: SOUL REBELS, 2-5 p.m. Get to the base area at Peak 8 this Sunday, March 25th for The Soul Rebels Brass Band from New Orleans! This powerful 8 piece line-up will harness the power of horns and drums to create the best party atmosphere on snow! Join the party at the base of Peak 8 for this eclectic live show on the specially-constructed BudLight stage.
