KSMT “The Mountain” Presents The Breckenridge Spring Beer Festival Saturday, April 14th
BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. – March 6th – NRC365 and KSMT “The Mountain” are proud to announce the sixth annual Breckenridge Spring Beer Festival on Saturday, April 14th, 2012 at Main Street Station Plaza, 505 South Main Street, in Breckenridge, Colo. As part of Spring Fever in Breckenridge, this event offers brews, views and free live music.
The Breckenridge Beer Festival features free live music and beer sampling from 25 craft brewers. Live music kicks off on the Summit Stage stage with Transmission, a local Summit County three-piece “rockcentric” band that will get the crowd pumped. The next band to take the stage is Jason Spooner Trio, out of Portland, ME. The Jason Spooner Trio recently wrapped up one of their busiest year's to date, opening for acts as varied as B.B. King, Michael Franti & Spearhead, G. Love, Blues Traveler and Sara Bareilles. The Jason Spooner Trio was recently named one of Relix Magazine’s “On The Verge – Bands you should know!” Headlining the Breckenridge Beer Festival this year is a hot new band on the scene My Pet Dragon! This five piece band out of New York City was recently featured in Filter Magazine’s “Discover the Undiscovered.” Some have compared them to Arcade Fire, Coldplay and the Flaming Lips, with their soaring vocals and strong pop melodies. The Breckenridge Spring Beer Festival features unlimited beer tasting from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. with 25 microbrewers on hand sampling their classic hoppy beverages and a few new ones. The cost of a bottomless five-ounce tasting cup is $30 at the gate or $25 in advance at www.breckenridgebeerfestival.com.
Upgrade to the VIP treatment, with a large glass commemorative stein, private beer tasting with a selection of beer in the VIP room and a catered lunch. Price is $65 in advance and $75 at the door. VIP access is limited.
