Coed Telemark Workshop this Weekend at Beaver Creek

Beaver Creek, Colo., Feb. 23, 2012— Beaver Creek will host the second to last coed telemark workshop of the season this Saturday, Feb. 25, providing a social and learning environment for telemark skiers of all ability levels. The workshops provide an opportunity to develop basic technique or refine skills in a relaxed, supportive and fun learning environment and are geared towards men and women of all abilities.
 
From the greens to the blacks of Grouse Mountain, the tele workshops offer instruction for beginners, intermediate and expert tele skiers. Instruction will be provided by top pros from the Beaver Creek Ski & Snowboard School.   
 
The last coed workshop of the season will be held at the resort on Saturday, Mar. 10.
 
Beaver Creek will also host a kids’ telemark workshop, scheduled for Saturday, March 3. The kids’ workshops are for ages 6-15 and offer an introduction to the telemark experience.  Kids’ tele clinics are limited to 24 students and are taught by our own Beaver Creek instructors. A Kids’ Tele rental punch card is available for $110 and provides five rentals.
 
Workshops are $87 per person for the lesson only. The lift ticket and lesson price is $151 per person.  Discounted telemark equipment rentals are available for participants. Call the Nordic Sports Center to reserve your space and for workshop details.
 
Also, Beaver Creek’s weekly “Tele Tuesdays” are geared towards beginners and are designed to provide a social gathering where first-time and beginner telemark skiers. Lessons go from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  Tele Tuesdays take place throughout the winter and guests who plan to enroll in the beginner lesson should register day of at the Nordic Center. A discounted price of $67 per person is offered for the lesson only and discounted equipment rentals are available.
