VAIL, Colo. – Jan. 22, 2012 – Skiers and snowboarders can thank Mother Nature for a feast of powder in Colorado this weekend. Heavenly and Northstar Resorts in Lake Tahoe received more than 20 inches of snow yesterday—reported at the summits of Heavenly and Northstar Resorts—while Colorado Resorts including Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone received up to 10 inches last night.
In Colorado, with several storms this week, the new snow is allowing for more terrain to be open. At Keystone new trails in the Outback have opened, Breckenridge opened the T-bar, Vail opened portions of Blue Sky Basin, Sun Up Bowl and China Bowl and Beaver Creek opened more trails like Stickline, Goshawk and more.
