Breckenridge, COLO – Nov. 21, 2011 –Just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday,
Breckenridge Ski Resort announced today the resort’s plans for expanded skier services and the opening of Peak 9 terrain this Wednesday, Nov. 23rd as well as opening celebrations for the
DoubleTree by Hilton Breckenridge and the NEW Maggie Deck in the Village base area.

And if that isn’t enough to be thankful for, Breckenridge Ski Resort is celebrating the opening of the NEW expanded Maggie Deck with a live performance by the band Salem, from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Celebrations start early with free doughnuts to the first 50 people at the base of the Quicksilver SuperChair followed by a tapping of the Breckenridge 50th Anniversary Ale at 11 a.m. with specials throughout the afternoon.
Thanks to a remarkable effort by the Breckenridge snowmaking team Peak 9 trails will include Silverthorne, Crosscut and lower Sawmill. Guests staying on Peak 9 will have access to Peak 8 terrain via Quicksilver SuperChair and the Peak 8 SuperConnect. Skiers and riders will be able to ski back to Peak 9 via the Crosscut and Sawmill trails. Breckenridge Ski Resort will have approximately 270 total acres of skiing and riding for this holiday weekend.
DoubleTree by Hilton™ Breckenridge Grand Opening
Located just steps away from the ski lifts on Peak 9, the brand new
DoubleTree by Hilton Breckenridge, formerly the Great Divide Lodge, will officially open its doors to the public on Nov. 23rd. Guests can expect free DoubleTree cookies when loading the first chairs of the season on the Quicksilver lift from 9 – 10:30 a.m., and additionally the first 200 Quicksilver SuperChair riders will receive free lunch at the Doubletree’s 9600 Grill.
Once guests’ legs have warmed up on Peak 9 and when they are ready for lunch, join the DoubleTree by Hilton Breckenridge for a free “Give Thanks” lunch, including soup and salad bar, provided by the Summit Rotary Club.
The official Grand Opening party with members of the local community will take place from 3-5 p.m. with an official ribbon cutting at 4p.m., which will include a formal check donation presentation to the Summit County Rotary Club.
To celebrate the opening of this full-service ski resort hotel and the 50th Anniversary of the resort of Breckenridge, Hilton Honorsmembers will earn 5,000 bonus points when staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Breckenridge for three nights or longer from November 1, 2011 through April 30, 2012.
Breckenridge Thanksgiving Dinners

All dinners will include all the fixings of a home cooked meal without the hassle.
