BRECKENRIDGE CELEBRATES OPENING DAY OF RESORT’S 50TH ANNIVERSARY SEASON THIS FRIDAY 11/11/11
  • Lifts open  at 9 a.m., Friday , November 11, 2011
  • The day includes FREE cupcake breakfast to the first 1,111 guests at Peak 8 Base
  • Commemorative “ Breck 50th Anniversary Ale” Keg Tapping

 BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. – November 7, 2011– Breckenridge Ski Resort welcomes its 50th Anniversary season with a celebration this Friday, November 11, 2011. The BreckConnect Gondola will start running at 8:00 a.m. followed by the Colorado SuperChair5 Chair and Rip’s Ride at 9:00 a.m. 
 
Guests are invited to come early and celebrateBreck’s 50th anniversary opening with a cupcake breakfast, featuring FREE 50th Anniversary Cupcakes to the first 1,111 guests starting at 8:30 a.m. on the Ski Hill Grill Plaza at the base of Peak 8. Budweiser has also caught Breck’s 50th birthday bug and has created a commemorative “Breck 50th Anniversary Ale” in honor of Breck’s Anniversary Season.  Join us at the T-Bar to be a part of the cheers and ceremonial tapping of the first keg of the season at 11 a.m., where the celebratory brew can be found all season long.
 
Breck’s  Gold Runner Coaster will also start its winter operations on Friday, and will run 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. daily, weather permitting.

There will also be ticket sales at the base of the BreckConnect  Gondola. Also, new at Breck this season, guests will get the chance to use the next generation of Vail Resorts’ popular ski and snowboard application, EpicMix™ which will revolutionize how guests take and share photos at all six of the Company’s mountain resorts when it launches this season. Upon request, the Company’s photographers will take portrait and action photos and automatically delivers the images to the guest’s EpicMix account by quickly scanning a guest’s RF-enabled lift ticket or season pass. The most revolutionary part is that Vail Resorts will provide these professional photos free to guests, in a “low-res” format for sharing on Facebook and Twitter, while a high-resolution image can be purchased online allowing guests to print unlimited copies at the vendor of their choice or on their own. Parking
Gondola Lots will be $5 during the week (Mon-Thurs) and $10 on weekends (Fri-Sun) and Holidays; Beaver Run will be $15 daily and $20 on Holidays. Carpool and Save!
