Fun Facts at Keystone Resort

·         Keystone’s five-acre lake transforms into the largest Zamboni-maintained outdoor skating rink in North America in the winter. 

·         The A51Terrain Park is ranked in the top 10 parks in the country by both Transworld Snowboarding Magazine and Freeskier Magazine. A51 offers features for all skiing and riding abilities and is a great park for families to experience together.   

·         Keystone boasts the longest ski day in Colorado—from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Keystone also operates the largest night skiing operation in Colorado.  

·         Adventure Point tubing is just like when you were a kid, only on a much bigger hill with its own tubing lift. Located at the top of the River Run Gondola, guests of all ages can fly down five lanes with family and friends and laugh until it hurts.

·         Ripperoo’s Forest, a unique kids area tucked in on Dercum Mountain, is conveniently located near the beginner area off of the Schoolmarm trail. Here kids explore new terrain and learn how to tackle natural obstacles such as bumps and berms. Named after Keystone’s Children’s Ski School mascot, the kids-only area has young skiers and riders learning new skills and experiencing new thrills.

·         At 11,444 feet, Keystone’s Alpenglow Stube is the highest AAA Four-Diamond restaurant in the country. The Stube also offers lunch and a Sunday brunch for guests—just don’t forget to ask for fuzzy slippers when you arrive.

·         Keystone’s Ski Tip Lodge is an old 1880’s stagecoach stop that now is a quaint, cozy B&B. The Ski Tip is located off-the-beaten path, away from the hustle and bustle of Keystone’s River Run village and is a romantic après ski location perfect for enjoying a nice glass of wine.

·         Keystone’s award winning pastry chef sculpts a miniature alpine village every December from 2,500 pounds of imported chocolate at the Keystone Lodge & Spa.  

·         Keystone Resort is entrusted with the stewardship of lands in the beautiful Rocky Mountains and is located in the White River National Forest. We support, promote, and engage in resource conservation, renewable energy use, recycling, composting, and other forms of waste reduction, wildlife habitat preservation, and environmental education.
