Guests can explore Vail Mountain’s natural environment and picturesque views of the Vail Valley and beyond with a 45-minute horseback tour from Eagle’s Nest, through Game Creek Bowl and back. The tour is suitable for adults and children age seven years and up and can be combined with lift and lunch packages. Children ages two through six years can enjoy pony rides around the mountaintop corral at Adventure Ridge.
Beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 17 bike hauls on the Eagle Bahn Gondola (#19) and portions of the following hiking and cross-country and single-track biking trails will be offered this weekend:
Hiking Trails:
• Berrypicker – from Vail Village to Lionshead
Cross-Country and Single-Track Biking Trails:
• Village Trail
• Gitalong Road
• Hank’s Hideaway
• Lion Down – lower portion only
• Onza Alley
Additional hiking and biking trails will be available as conditions permit and posted in the Vail Village and Lionshead base areas as well as at Eagle’s Nest. Guests are reminded to obey all posted signs and closures.
Other activities available on Vail Mountain this weekend include scenic rides from Lionshead to Eagle’s Nest via the Eagle Bahn Gondola (#19), the new Top of the Mountain Tour, bungee trampoline, climbing wall and the always-popular kids Dino Dig. Mini-golf and disc golf as well as complimentary slackline park, bocce ball, horseshoes and bean bag toss will also be offered as the summer season progresses and weather permits.
Talon’s Deck will be open this weekend from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., offering a range of lunch items from BBQ and burgers to salads. Bistro Fourteen and Game Creek will reopen for summer service beginning Thursday, June 23 along with daily gondola and Adventure Ridge operations.
