All 18 Holes of the Northstar® Resort Golf Course to Open for the Season Friday, June 10
Course Offers Some of the Most Affordable Greens Fees in North Lake Tahoe, Earliest Twilight Golf, and Instruction for All Ages
TRUCKEE, Calif. – June 9, 2011 – With the summer season on the horizon in Lake Tahoe, Northstar-at-Tahoe™ Resort is scheduled to open the back nine of its golf course, offering 18 hole play for the first time this season, on one of the most reasonably priced courses in North Lake Tahoe, starting Friday, June 10, weather and conditions permitting. The driving range is scheduled to open June 17, conditions permitting.
Continuing to offer some of the most affordable greens fees and the earliest twilight golf in North Lake Tahoe, beginning at 1 p.m. daily, golfers can get on the links for 18 hole play for just $60 before 1 p.m., and $40 after 1 p.m. through June 30. During the summer season, greens fees are $80 before 1 p.m. and $60 after 1 p.m. Late afternoon play (after 4 p.m.) is available for just $45 per round.
For those interested in improving their game, personalized golf instruction will be offered throughout the season by Northstar Resort’s golf pros. Private instruction is offered by the hour, as well as 45 minute weekly group clinics that run June 17 through August 2011. Group clinics are priced between $20-30 per person and include Adult Full Swing, Adult Short Game, Women’s Full Swing, Women’s Short Game, Family Clinic and a Juniors Clinic for ages 17 and under. Reservations are not required, and space is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Those looking for additional ways to save are invited to take advantage of the following deals at the Northstar Resort golf course this summer:
- Father’s Day Golf Special. Dads are invited to enjoy half off their round of golf all day on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 19 when accompanied by at least one paying family member. Advance tee time reservations are required.
- Active Military Discount. The Northstar Resort golf course offers active military personnel half off their round of golf Sunday through Thursday throughout the golf season when accompanied by another paying guest. Advance tee time reservations are recommended, and a valid military ID must be presented.
- 18 Holes & Sushi Rolls. During the summer golf season (July 1-September 19), guests are invited to enjoy 18 holes and sushi rolls for just $95. This offer includes 18 hole play at the Northstar Resort golf course for one person and a $25 gift card valid at Mikuni Sushi in the Village at Northstar™. This offer cannot be combined with any other offer and does not include tax or gratuity at Mikuni.
Those who want to play all season long are invited to apply their purchased golf round toward the purchase of a golf season pass if purchased the same day. Through June 30, early bird season pass prices are valid, starting at just $299 for Monday through Thursday afternoon play. Other pass options are also available.
Added golf season pass holder benefits include 15 percent off food and beverage items (excluding alcohol) all season long at the Martis Valley Grille and The Turn, as well as access to a complimentary golf season pass holder instruction clinic that will be offered Saturday, June 25 at 11 a.m. by three of the resort’s golf pros. This clinic will focus on club fitting, equipment options and new innovations, common swing faults and cures, as well as individual corrections.
And, new for 2011, Northstar Resort is offering a Wedding or VIP Party Package priced at just $79 per person. This offer is valid daily after 12:30 p.m. and includes either nine or 18 holes of golf, a warm up bucket of balls, use of a shared cart, on course contests, beer/wine coupon or $5 retail coupon, and a boxed lunch or apres golf party for the group.
Visitors can also Stay & Golf Free with the resort’s special summer lodging package, which includes one night of accommodations and one round of golf with a shared cart for play after noon. The offer starts at $80 per person, per night based on a two-night minimum stay and double occupancy. And, new this season, Northstar Lodging Guests can receive 10 percent off private golf instruction.
