WINTER DEW TOUR ARRIVES IN COLORADO FOR THE NIKE 6.0 OPEN, DECEMBER 16-19 AT BRECKENRIDGE SKI RESORT
The Cool Kids to Headline Concert at Riverwalk Center December 17th at 7pm
Burr Ridge, Ill. – December 14, 2010 – Over 380 of the best freeski and snowboard athletes from 18 different countries will compete this weekend at Breckenridge Ski Resort at the Nike 6.0 Open. For the third consecutive year, Breckenridge will kick off the 2010 winter season debuting their brand new 22-foot superpipe live on NBC, and will host competitions with the top winter athletes in freeskiing (slopestyle and superpipe) and snowboarding (slopestyle and superpipe) along with a Friday night concert featuring Midwest hip hop group, The Cool Kids. In a continuing effort to develop new, up-and-coming talent, the Nike 6.0 Open will feature an expanded field of Open Qualifiers with over 280 athletes competing this weekend to earn a spot on the Tour. The three-stop Tour will continue on to Killington Resort in Killington, Vt. in January and will conclude with the Toyota Championship at Snowbasin Resort in Ogden, Utah this February.
Highlighting the men’s snowboard superpipe roster includes defending 2009-10 Dew Cup champion JJ Thomas, as well as Olympian’s Scotty Lago and Louie Vito. Sixteen-year-old Sage Kostenburg looks to defend his Dew Cup title in snowboard slopestyle, against the likes of Torstein Horgmo, Tyler Flanagan and Chas Guldemond.
Kaitlyn Farrington is ready to defend her snowboard superpipe Dew Cup champion status(snowboard superpipe), as Olympian’s Elena Hight, Hannah Teter and Gretchen Bleiler look to start their Winter Dew Tour season with a win. Jamie Anderson, last season’s snowboard slopestyle Dew Cup champion, will be battling it out for the top podium spot during Sunday’s slopestyle finals against fellow competitor’s Chanelle Sladics and Kjersti Østgaard Buaas.
The best of the best in freeski will also be vying for the top spot on the podium at Breckenridge Ski Resort, with defending 2009-10 Dew Cup champion Jossi Wells and freeski icon Simon Dumont battling it out on the superpipe. Breckenridge local Bobby Brown and 2009-10 Dew Cup champion, Andreas Hatveit, are set to compete on the slopestyle course.
Through the support of Paul Mitchell, there will be expanded women’s freeski slopestyle and superpipe competitions in Breckenridge, with defending X Games gold medalist Jen Hudak looking to score the same success at the Winter Dew Tour.

Entering its third season, the top athletes in the world will take part in the 2010-11 Winter Dew Tour, all competing for the highly coveted Dew Cup that will be awarded at the Toyota Championship at Snowbasin Resort in Ogden, Utah.
