South Lake Tahoe, Calif./Nev. – March 19, 2010 – Today, Heavenly Mountain Resort (www.skiheavenly.com) announced that the 2010/11 Heavenly Pass – cited by numerous surveys as Lake Tahoe’s best skiing and snowboarding pass product – will be available for a limited time starting March 20, 2010, for renewal or purchase at $339 for an adult pass – a 32 percent savings off the retail price. Teen, child and senior passes are also available at reduced early-bird pricing.

The Heavenly Pass grants access to Lake Tahoe’s biggest mountain, highest elevation, longest vertical drop, most breath-taking scenery, largest snowmaking and grooming operation, finest snow surfaces and best tree skiing.

“While there may be other Lake Tahoe-area resort season passes available at around the same price, none come close to the Heavenly Pass in terms of value,” said John Wagnon, Heavenly’s vice president of marketing and sales.  “When you consider that the Heavenly Pass has fewer blackout dates to begin with and with the West Coast’s largest snowmaking system, Heavenly passholders were skiing and riding in early November when passholders at other mountains were waiting for Mother Nature to provide snow – the $339 Heavenly Pass really delivers.”

As an extra incentive to buy early, new buyers who purchase a 2010/11 season pass, paid in full, before the end of the current ski season will be rewarded with free skiing and riding from April 1, 2010, through the end of the season which has been extended through April 25, 2010. Existing pass holders who renew their pass before the end of the winter season will receive two additional $50 buddy tickets valid throughout the month of April 2010. All 2010/11 passholders receive full 2010 summer access to Gondola sightseeing as well.

All Heavenly season pass holders receive numerous benefits:
• Skiing and riding seven days per week (nine holiday blackout dates apply).
• Unlimited and unrestricted half-price tickets to any of Vail Resorts' four Colorado resorts: Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, and Keystone (no blackout dates).
• Option to purchase four, single-day, $50 Buddy tickets for friends and family during the 2010/11 season (if purchased prior to June 21, 2010).
• Option to purchase personal lift tickets on blackout dates for a $20 discount.
• Summer 2010 Gondola access.
• Discounts on ski school, food & beverage, and retail.

In addition to the season pass benefits, Heavenly has consistently improved the resort with capital investments. In the last five years, Heavenly has added a new lift, seven new trails, 25 grooming snowcats (including two winch cats), 22 automated snowmaking fan guns, a tubing hill, a zip line, an umbrella bar, expanded East Peak Lodge, and re-graded Skyline Trail as well as selectively widening or removing obstacles from numerous other runs. For 2010/11 the resort will add a 14,000-square-foot, on-mountain restaurant at the top of the Heavenly Gondola near Tamarack Express.

The $339 Heavenly Pass will only be available through June 20, 2010. Heavenly offers a $49 down-payment option that will hold the $339 price until the balance is paid in full in September. Pass use, benefits and incentives (with the exception of summer Gondola access) will not be awarded until the pass is paid in full. The remainder of the pass price will be charged to the purchaser’s credit card on or around September 15, 2010.

Epic Season Pass
For the ultimate season pass experience offering unlimited, unrestricted skiing and snowboarding at five of America’s top resorts, the Epic Season Pass (www.epicpass.com) offers 17,400 acres of terrain, 128 chairlifts and 722 trails at six resorts – Heavenly, Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone and Arapahoe Basin – from opening day in the fall until closing day in the spring, including every holiday in between with no blackout dates, for only $599 for adults and $299 for children, ages 5-12, through May 31, 2010. The $49-down payment option is also available on the Epic Season Pass.  New this year is the Epic 7-Pack™: A seven-day unrestricted ticket that skiers and snowboarders can use at any one of Vail Resorts’ five mountain resorts and Arapahoe Basin anytime during the season for a price of $449, or almost 35 percent off of a single-day lift ticket price.
