Vail Resorts Announces the Return of the Epic Pass and Expands its Season Pass Product Line with the New Epic 7-Pack Giving Skiers and Riders More Options and Extraordinary Savings for their Winter Vacations

Broomfield, Colo. – March 10, 2010 – Vail Resorts, Inc. (NYSE: MTN) announced today it is bringing the revolutionary Epic Pass™ back for its third season providing unlimited, unrestricted access to six world class resorts including Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone and Heavenly – as well as at Arapahoe Basin for at a price of $599 adult and $299 child (ages 5 to 12).
 
New this year is the Epic 7-Pack™ (www.epicpass.com): A seven-day unrestricted ticket that skiers and snowboarders can use at any one of Vail Resorts’ five mountain resorts and Arapahoe Basin anytime during the season for a price of $449, or almost 35 percent off of a single-day lift ticket price. Also for the second year, The Summit Pass™ is available to purchase online at www.epicpass.com and provides unlimited lift access at the top Summit County resorts - Breckenridge, Keystone and Arapahoe Basin - with no date restrictions at $409 for adults, $319 for teens ages 13 to 18 and $209 for children ages 5 to 12. Also new this year is a Keystone and Arapahoe Basin pass for $359 adult, $299 teen, $199 child which offers unlimited, unrestricted skiing at both resorts.
 
Prices on all pass products are guaranteed through May 31, 2010 and are available to purchase on www.epicpass.com starting March 15, 2010.  
 
“We listened to feedback from our guests and we wanted to offer an array of season pass products that cater to what our guests are looking to experience in their ski and snowboard getaways,” said Rob Katz, chief executive officer for Vail Resorts. “The Epic Pass, Epic 7-Pack and the Summit Pass give skiers and riders the flexibility of unrestricted skiing throughout the year and the option to experience our iconic resorts for an entire season or for multiple days—all at an extraordinary value.”      
 
Skiers and riders should lock in their pass for next year now as these prices are only guaranteed through May 31, 2010. Vail Resorts is giving guests the option to lock in these prices with a $49 down payment now with the remainder of the balance due in mid-September 2010.
 
The Epic Season Pass, Epic 7-Pack, Summit Pass and Keystone/Arapahoe Basin Pass purchasers will continue to receive exclusive offers and promotions for lodging, dining, ski rentals, equipment, ski school and special events for the 2010-2011 ski and snowboard season. New this year, skiers and snowboarders who purchase their pass this spring will also receive special benefits for this summer 2010 including access for sightseeing and gondola rides. Formerly, summer benefits were granted for the summer following our ski seasons. All season pass products are non-transferable and non-refundable.

The Epic Pass, Epic 7-Pack and the Heavenly Pass will be available at Heavenly in California/Nevada beginning April 1.
 
The Colorado Pass, which offers unlimited skiing and riding at Keystone Breckenridge and Arapahoe Basin and 10 days at Vail and Beaver Creek can be renewed online starting March 15, 2010 for $449. Restriction dates apply at Vail and Beaver Creek. Beginning April 9, 2010, the Colorado Pass will be on-sale at certain locations in Colorado.
