Vail Snowsports School Offers Early Booking Savings for SKImmersion Programs
VAIL, Colo. – Feb. 12, 2010 – The Vail Snowsports School announced today an early-booking savings for the remaining 2010 SKImmersion programs, scheduled for Feb. 21-26 and March 7-12. Guests who book by Feb. 17 will save nearly 25 percent.

As part of the school’s Focused Learning System, the five-day SKImmersion programs offer an unrivaled pathway to accelerated, permanent learning for adult intermediate and advanced skiers through specialized coaching techniques, cutting-edge learning tools and group camaraderie. The average group size is four people and groups never exceed six participants.

“The approach of Focused Learning is comprehensive, holistic, challenging and fun. It’s a tremendous value for a week-long program,” said Carol Levine, Focused Learning Project Coordinator for the Vail Snowsports School. “With systematic training, SKImmersion is the perfect opportunity for skiers to truly understand body movements, equipment and tactics too elevate their skiing skills.”

The Vail Snowsports School has devoted resources for the singular purpose of developing and implementing a specialized teaching system for motivated learners. Focused Learning has evolved into a powerful experience that creates skilled and lifelong skiers. During the SKImmersion program, participants enhance their performance by applying techniques used by top athletes and sports psychologists. By the end of the week, confidence levels are much greater and participants become effective self-coaches, able to assess their skiing strengths, making corrections when necessary while enjoying a new level of skill outside the lesson environment.

SKImmersion participants are trained with video and a variety of take-home materials. They’ll receive boot consultation as well as fit and performance adjustments with renowned technicians and will have access to discounted demo skis and merchandise at Vail Sports throughout the week.

Each program begins on Sunday evening at 6 p.m. with ski days on Monday through Friday. Manor Vail Lodge will serve as home base throughout the week, providing a daily breakfast buffet and designated training space to begin and end each day. Additional program gifts, lift and equipment offers and lodging discounts are available.
