BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. –Nov. 9, 2009– Breckenridge Ski Resort kicks off the 2009-2010 season Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009 when the Colorado SuperChair, 5 Chair and Rip’s Ride (previously Chair 7) on Peak 8 start turning at 9:00 a.m. Come celebrate with a complimentary pancake (and waffle) breakfast at 8:30 a.m. on the deck of the Bergenhof, then pick from more skiable terrain than any other resort in Summit County to take your first turns of the season, with 108 acres on 4 runs including Springmeier, Spruce, Trygve’s and lower Crescendo, or spend the day in the upper Park Lane triple jump line.
Skier services will include ticket sales, rental operations and food service at Peak 8 as well as ticket sales at the BreckConnect Gondola.
Parking & Prizes
Parking will be free all weekend (Nov 12-15) in the North and South Gondola lots, as well as the Beaver Run lot. New this season, parking in the Gondola lots will be $5 during the week (Mon-Thurs) and $10 on weekends (Fri-Sun) and Holidays; the Beaver Run lot will be $15.
Breckenridge is now supporting carpooling with discounted rates all season long! For cars with four or more people, the Gondola lots will be free during the week (Mon.-Thurs.) and $5 on the weekends (Fri.-Sun.) and holidays; the Beaver Run lot will be $10. To kick off the carpooling incentives opening weekend, carpool with four or more and enter to win four Club Level seats to a Denver Nuggets or Colorado Avalanche game or Breckenridge Ski School Adventure Sessions for up to four people.
Parking passes and prepaid packs are also available. An unlimited parking pass is $149 season, a pre-paid 10 pack is $60 and a pre-paid 5 pack is $35. These passes are available at the season ticket offices.

Opening Day Schedule:
8:30 – 10 a.m. FREE pancake and waffle breakfast on the Bergenhof deck – we will be flipping pancakes from 8:30 am until they’re gone.
Throughout day Ripperoo will entertain guests at the Peak 8 base area.

6 -10 a.m. Local Radio remotes from Peak 8 (Summit County’s KSMT and Krystal 93)
