Vail Resorts’ Vice President of Corporate Marketing Heidi Kercher-Pratt recommends that parents of Colorado students graduating into fifth and sixth grade mark their calendars for fall/September (?) to register for Vail Resorts’ free School of Shred program. This popular program returns for the 2009-2010 ski and snowboard season and provides four free days of skiing at each of the state’s top-ranked resorts of Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone for all Colorado fifth and sixth grade students who register.
“We recognize these are challenging times for many of our Colorado neighbors and guests, but we also know that families still want and need to celebrate the important milestones in their lives – like a graduation or birthday or anniversary or simply the start of another ski and snowboard season - which is why we’re making it easier and more affordable than ever,” Kercher-Pratt said.
To that end, Vail Resorts rolled back the pricing of its Colorado and Summit passes to last spring’s prices of $439 for The Colorado Pass™ and $399 for The Summit Pass™ (adult pricing) through May, 10, 2009 and is giving guests the option to lock in these low prices with only a $49 down payment per pass with the remainder of the balance due in September, 2009.

The Colorado Pass™
The Colorado Pass™ offers unlimited access at Breckenridge, Keystone and Arapahoe Basin with no restrictions, plus 10 days at Vail and Beaver Creek with restricted dates.* The Colorado Pass™ is offered at $439 for adults, $329 for teens, ages 13-18 and $209 for children, ages 5-12. The price of The Colorado Pass™ has been rolled back to last spring’s pricing and is guaranteed through May 10, 2009.
The Summit Pass™
The Summit Pass™ provides unlimited lift access at the top Summit County resorts - Breckenridge, Keystone and Arapahoe Basin - with no date restrictions at $399 for adults, $309 for teens and $199 for children. Prices are guaranteed through May 10, 2009.
The Epic Season Pass™
The Epic Season Pass™ is an “unreal deal” at $599 for unlimited, unrestricted skiing and snowboarding at Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone and Arapahoe Basin in Colorado and Heavenly in South Lake Tahoe, Calif./Nev. The Pass is $299 for children (5-12).
All Vail Resorts season passes will continue to utilize the new, state-of-the-art Radio Frequency Technology for an “easy scan” process that gives skiers and snowboarders the option to keep their pass zipped inside their jacket while getting “scanned” in lift lines at Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone in Colorado and Heavenly in California and Nevada.
To further sweeten the pot, Vail Resorts is offering spring-only benefits for pass purchasers of The Colorado Pass™ and The Summit Pass™ (must purchase by May 10, 2009 in person or renew online by May 31, 2009):
