BROOMFIELD, Colo. – April 1, 2009 – Vail Resorts, Inc., (NYSE:MTN) announced that its popular Colorado season ski pass products for the 2009-2010 ski and snowboard season will go on sale today at last spring’s prices - $439 for The Colorado Pass™ and $399 for The Summit Pass™ - (adult pricing) through May 10, 2009. Renewals of the passes begin today at www.coloradopass.com with new sales for The Colorado and Summit passes set to begin April 10, 2009 at select Front Range locations.
The announcement to roll back season pass prices to the spring rates for The Colorado Pass™ and The Summit Pass™ follows on the heels of the March 11, 2009 announcement to offer the 2009-2010 unlimited, unrestricted Epic Season Pass at last spring’s prices of $579 for adults and $279 for children.
Today, the Company also confirmed the return of its free skiing program, The School of Shred, for Colorado 5th and 6th grade students. The Vail Resorts School of Shred program provides four free days of skiing at each of the state’s top-ranked resorts of Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone for the 2009-2010 season. Registration for The School of Shred program begins in the fall.
“We recognize these are challenging times for many of our guests, which is why it’s so important that we make it easier for our guests to enjoy another ‘Epic’ ski or snowboard season by rolling back the prices for all of our passes – The Colorado, Epic and Summit passes - for the 2009-2010 season,” said Heidi Kercher-Pratt, vice president of corporate marketing for Vail Resorts. “Our focus continues to be on providing the best value to our most valuable guests.”
Kercher-Pratt recommends that guests act now since these low prices are guaranteed for a limited time – Colorado and Summit pass pricing is guaranteed through May 10, 2009 and Epic Pass pricing of $579 for adults and $279 for children is guaranteed through April 9, 2009. To help even further, Vail Resorts is giving guests the option to lock in these low prices with only a $49 down payment per pass with the remainder of the balance due in September, 2009.

The Colorado Pass™
The Colorado Pass™ offers unlimited access at Breckenridge, Keystone and Arapahoe Basin with no restrictions, plus 10 days at Vail and Beaver Creek with restricted dates.* The Colorado Pass™ is offered at $439 for adults, $329 for teens, ages 13-18 and $209 for children, ages 5-12. The price of The Colorado Pass™ has been rolled back to last spring’s pricing and is guaranteed through May 10, 2009.
The Summit Pass™
The Summit Pass™ provides unlimited lift access at the top Summit County resorts - Breckenridge, Keystone and Arapahoe Basin - with no date restrictions at $399 for adults, $309 for teens and $199 for children. Prices are guaranteed through May 10, 2009.
The Epic Season Pass™
The Epic Season Pass™ is an “unreal deal” at $579 for unlimited, unrestricted skiing and snowboarding at Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone and Arapahoe Basin in Colorado and Heavenly in South Lake Tahoe, Calif./Nev. The Pass is $279 for children (5-12). Prices are guaranteed through April 9, 2009
All Vail Resorts season passes will continue to utilize the new, state-of-the-art Radio Frequency Technology for an “easy scan” process that gives skiers and snowboarders the option to keep their pass zipped inside their jacket while getting “scanned” in lift lines at Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone in Colorado and Heavenly in California and Nevada.
To further sweeten the pot, all Epic, Colorado and Summit pass purchasers for the 2009-2010 season will be invited to become a member of the Colorado Pass Club™ (CPC) and will receive exclusive member-only discounts, freebies and more.
