North Lake Tahoe Chamber/CVB/Resort Association Secures Presenting Sponsorship of Tahoe Trail 100 Mountain Bike Race
Hosted at Northstar California™ Resort July 22, the Tahoe Trail 100 will be the Final Race in the Leadville Qualifying Series

TRUCKEE, Calif. – June 28, 2012 – Northstar California Resort today announced the North Lake Tahoe Chamber/CVB/Resort Association will be the presenting sponsor of the Tahoe Trail 100, the final of six races in the Leadville Qualifying Series (LQS). Scheduled to take place Sunday, July 22 at Northstar, the Tahoe Trail 100 will qualify racers for coveted and otherwise impossible-to-secure spots in the Leadville Trail 100, the best known and most prestigious mountain bike race in North America.

“We’re excited to be affiliated with the Tahoe Trail 100 as a presenting sponsor,” said Andy Chapman, chief marketing officer for the North Lake Tahoe Chamber/CVB/Resort Association. “This event presents a fantastic opportunity to showcase North Lake Tahoe as one of the premier places to mountain bike ride in America.”
The challenging course will start and finish at Northstar, feature seven total climbs and approximately 100 kilometers, and has been vetted by LQS technical director, Dave Wiens, a six-time Leadville Trail 100 champion and member of the Mountain Biking Hall of Fame. Participants will compete for 70-100 qualifying spots in the Leadville Trail 100 in Colorado on August 11.
