An early-season A51 terrain park setup will debut on Wednesday, Nov. 23 as well, offering skiers and riders a variety of medium-sized rails and jibs at the bottom of the Last Chance trail, in addition to current terrain offerings.
 
By Friday, Nov. 25, the resort will expand terrain to offer top-to-bottom skiing and riding to both the River Run and Mountain House base areas. At that time guests will have access to more than 2,300 vertical feet of skiing and riding via the River Run Gondola, Peru Express Lift and Montezuma Express Lift. Beginner learning areas are also available at the Kokomo Carpet and Mid-Station Carpet.
 
Starting Friday, beginner skiers and riders are encouraged to use Keystone’s Mountain House base area which will offer top-top-bottom skiing and riding on the resort’s green, beginner trail, Schoolmarm. Free parking, as well as new designated Family Parking, will be available at the Mountain House East lots. Skier services including lift tickets and pass sales, rentals, and food and beverage will also be available at the Mountain House base area.
 
All Keystone Ski & Ride School lessons will continue to be offered out of the River Run location at this time, with lessons available for all ability levels.
 
Additionally, signature restaurants, Kidtopia, scenic and dinner wagon rides, ice skating and night skiing all begin Thanksgiving weekend. Thanksgiving kicks-off the festive holiday offerings at Keystone, meaning families have flexibility surrounding a visit without missing any of the fun opportunities – like meeting Santa of course. The best part of all, families can take advantage of Keystone’s industry-leading Kids Ski Free program throughout the holidays.
 
Kidtopia: Unmatched Family Programming Begins Thanksgiving Weekend
Keystone’s Kidtopia continues to redefine the family resort experience with free activities and events on and off the snow every day of the week starting Friday, Nov. 25. Guests can look forward to some brand new activities that will join the Kidtopia lineup this year, in addition to family favorites like the Saturday parade and fireworks. Build your own snowman, attend an ice cream birthday party with Ripperoo, catch a movie matinee at Kidtopia headquarters, march in the village parade and much more – the possibilities are endless for kids at Keystone!
 
Keystone’s All Aglow with Night Skiing, Beginning November 23
With the longest ski day in all of Colorado, at Keystone families can enjoy the star-filled sky as they ski and snowboard on the resort’s multiple lighted trails. Open until 8 p.m., Keystone’s night skiing is a unique option, found at very few resorts, and allows for more time on the slopes. Night Skiing will be offered Nov. 23-27, Dec. 2-3, 9-10, Dec. 16-Jan. 1 and then every Wednesday-Sunday through the end of March.
 
Signature Dining Experiences
The options for unique family dining experiences at Keystone are endless. Enjoy signature on-mountain dining experiences this season, including the highest AAA Four-Diamond™ restaurant in North America at Alpenglow Stube and fondue for the whole family at Der Fondue Chessel. Located in the Outpost at the top of Keystone’s North Peak, and accessed by two gondola rides, the Alpenglow Stube and Der Fondue Chessel offer unique dining experiences for the whole family at 11,444 feet. Both mountaintop restaurants open Wednesday, Nov. 23.
 
Additional signature dining options available include authentic and festive dining experiences at the Ski Tip Lodge, a historic 1800’s stagecoach stop that is now one of the top-rated restaurant’s in the country; The Keystone Ranch, an original 1930s ranch homestead with a genuine Colorado steakhouse menu; Keystone’s dinner wagon ride, where guests can enjoy a magical horse-drawn ride through the woods to a rustic ranch homestead for dinner; and the Bighorn Bistro & Bar, offering fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere with views of the Continental Divide.
 
Ice Skating in River Run Village
Located in the vibrant River Run Village, Keystone’s Dercum Square Ice Rink offers day and evening ice skating beginning Friday, Nov. 25. Admission is free, with adult and child rental skates available on-site. Be sure to stick around for complimentary fresh baked cookies during Kidtopia Cookie Time, held daily at 4 p.m. at the Dercum Square Ice Rink. 
 
Santa Claus is Coming to Keystone
The big guy himself will be on-hand beginning Saturday, Nov. 26, and will make appearances at Keystone throughout December before he embarks upon his prior obligations. Photo opportunities, skiing, parades, a family-friendly Brunch and the Mountaintop Spectacular, Santa Claus will be in resort Nov. 26, Dec. 10, 17, 18, 19, 22, 23 and 24.
