Keystone Resort Ideal Location for Family Summer Mountain Getaway

Keystone, Colo. — April 26, 2016 — Sitting at 9,280-feet elevation in Summit County, Colo., and easily accessible from Denver, Keystone Resort is the ultimate location to beat the summer heat and enjoy the allure of the high country. Keystone’s on- and off-mountain activities commence on June 10 and offer a variety of authentic Rocky Mountain experiences such as downhill mountain biking, golfing, hiking, free family programs, lake activities, summer snow tubing and a variety of village festivals. Guests can book lodging prior to June 10 to save up to 40 percent on accommodations, with condos in River Run Village starting at $119 a night.

Whether it’s enjoying free Kidtopia events, taking a scenic chair lift ride to the top of the mountain, hitting the links for a round of golf, horseback riding through the White River National Forest or relaxing poolside at one of Keystone’s numerous lodging accommodations, families can fully customize their summer vacation at Keystone. With the Ultimate Family Summer Adventure package, guests can create a tailor-made summer stay at Keystone suited to their desire while enjoying a 40 percent discount on lodging if booked by June 10, as well as receive free nine holes of golf and free scenic lift tickets for kids 12 and younger.
 
Summer Snow Tubing: Yes – Summer. Snow. Tubing.
Even after the close of the ski and snowboard season at Keystone, guests can still get their adrenaline fix this summer at the Adventure Point tubing hill, where a not-so-secret stash of snow awaits. Situated at 11,640-feet elevation atop Dercum Mountain, Keystone boats the only summer snow tubing operation in Colorado held on actual snow. Guests can zip down multiple tubing lanes, without all the winter apparel, and enjoy conveyor-lift access back to the top. Keystone’s summer snow tubing is set to open on June 10.
 
Kidtopia: Free Daily Programming for the Family
Keystone’s signature Kidtopia program provides families with a variety of activities and adventures that are free and offered daily from June 10 to August 31. Kidtopia offerings such as nature hikes, dodgeball games, interactive kite building workshops and Wild West nights allow families to enjoy additional time spent together through dedicated family-centric events. 
 
Keystone Bike Park: Downhill Thrills
The Keystone Bike Park features 56 lift-serviced singletrack mountain biking trails, with progressive terrain welcoming riders of all ability levels. With a dedicated trail crew, the Bike Park will feature a variety of new upgrades and additions, including new features, re-worked trails, increased bike haul capacity and a free skills park to promote progression. New for 2016, the Keystone Bike Academy caters to riders of all levels with beginner clinics, private lessons and downhill guides. Bike and full downhill gear rentals are conveniently available at Keystone Sports locations in the resort’s River Run Village, and Bike Park Season Passes may be purchased now by visiting keystoneresort.com. The Keystone Bike Park is set to open on Friday, June 10.
 
Golf: Swing into Summer at Keystone’s Championship Courses
Keystone Resort features 36-holes of championship golf with two distinct courses, The River Course and The Keystone Ranch Course, welcoming golfers of all abilities to enjoy the spectacular views while teeing-off into the crisp Rocky Mountain air.
