Keystone, Colo. — Oct. 13, 2014 — Keystone Resort received 4 inches of natural snow yesterday and also began snowmaking operations in preparation for the resort’s upcoming 2014-15 winter season. With favorable overnight temperatures in the future forecast, snowmaking will continue throughout the week as weather conditions allow. Keystone’s Mountain Operations Team is utilizing new high-efficiency snow guns, upgraded snowmaking pipes and an upgraded pump station to provide great early season conditions.

Opening on Friday, Oct. 31, Keystone will feature Halloween-themed activities as skiers and riders enjoy the first runs of the season. Lifts open at 9 a.m. with skiing and riding available until 4 p.m. Free parking will be available in the River Run Lot.

This season, Keystone will continue to revolutionize the family ski experience with an un-matched Kids Ski Free program, daily Kidtopia events and activities, and themed Camp Keystone ski and ride school offerings that all provide one-of-a-kind opportunities.

Season passes currently remain available for purchase, with multiple offerings that each provides incredible value. Additionally, with the implementation of a new mobile ticket platform, guests will now have the ability to purchase daily lift tickets up to the same day and can simply reload existing hard card lift passes and head right to the lifts with no waiting in line necessary.

Great lodging options for the season remain available. With nearly 800 units to choose from, Keystone offers accommodations for every size group and budget. Guests can secure the best available rates by booking by Friday, Oct. 31.
