The Osprey at Beaver Creek Debuts Gourmet Snowshoe Adventures
  • Snowshoe Tours Pair Best with Artisan Wines, Cheeses and Sumptuous Fondue 
Beaver Creek, Colo.  Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015 – New for winter 2015-2016, Beaver Creek Resort invites guests to enjoy three new snowshoe adventures – each New for winter 2015-2016, Beaver Creek Resort invites guests to enjoy three new snowshoe adventures – each of which combine wellness-promoting outdoor activity and scenic splendor with après-snowshoe gourmet decadence found only at Beaver Creek. The adventure begins at the Beaver Creek Nordic Sports Center, situated steps from both the Beaver Creek Village and The Osprey at Beaver Creek, A RockResort. Guests of all ability levels enjoy a guided snowshoe tour amidst forested scenery throughout the Beaver Creek base area, as well as a scenic ride aboard the Buckaroo Express gondola. Each ninety-minute snowshoe tour offers an engaging narration of Beaver Creek’s history and unique natural environment. 
 
Following each tour, The Osprey Fireside Grill welcomes guests into its slope-side, mountain-modern elegance – where Executive Chef Conor Shedor presents decedent culinary and wine pairings befitting of a post-snowshoe hike.    
 
Winter Wine Excursions
Wine Excursion guests are treated to a flight of five select wines to be savored with gourmet charcuterie boards of assorted Colorado cheeses, cured meats, honeycomb, artisan breads, and flavored oils. Guests are guided through the tasting by The Osprey Executive Chef, Conor Shedor, who is renowned for his creative pairings. Each delectable pairing is enjoyed amidst The Osprey’s casual, modern elegance aside the glowing fireplace. Winter Wine Excursions are offered Thursdays throughout winter, 3 – 5:30 p.m.; seatings in The Osprey Fireside Grill begin at 4:30 p.m.
 
Fondue + Shoe
Fondue + Shoe guests are treated to three varieties of fondue: three-cheese blend of aged Gruyère, raclette and Fontina; roasted artichoke – a signature recipe at The Osprey Fireside Grill; and cheddar of medium-sharp, Colorado-sourced varieties. Guests enjoy their choice of a craft beer or artisan wine pairing, and each fondue is enjoyed with a selection of toasted artisan breads, gougères and seasonal vegetables. Imparting the spirit of authentic European fondue gatherings, guests share a communal table and children ages six and older are welcome. Fondue + Shoe is offered Fridays throughout winter, 3:30 – 7 p.m.; seatings in The Osprey Fireside Grill begin at 5:30 p.m.
 
Women’s Wednesday Walk + Wine
Wednesday Walk + Wine guests enjoy a flight of three select wines with pairings such as assorted goat and cow cheeses and spreads, tapenade and flavored oils atop a selection of artisan breads, cured meats and honeycomb. Women’s Wednesday Walk + Wine is offered Wednesdays throughout winter, 12:30 – 3 p.m.; seatings in The Osprey Fireside Grill begin at 2 p.m.
