BROOMFIELD, Colo. – Apr. 2, 2019 – There’s never been a better time to be an Epic Pass holder. Purchasing an Epic Pass before Sunday, April 14 allows skiers and snowboarders to lock in their season pass for next winter with only $49 down at the lowest guaranteed rate. Purchasing now also ensures that eligible pass holders will receive the best benefits, including 16 total discounted tickets to share with family and friends. These 16 discounted tickets include 10 buddy tickets – a 67 percent increase over the six that were offered last season – that pass holders may purchase for a flat discounted rate. Pass holders also receive six Ski With a Friend tickets that may be purchased at a discounted rate from the then-current window ticket pricing. April 14 is the deadline to receive all 16 benefit tickets.

The industry-leading Epic Pass provides skiers and riders with the greatest value in the ski industry and access to world-class resorts including Vail, Whistler Blackcomb, Breckenridge, Park City and more. Launching at $939 for the 2019-20 winter season, the Epic Pass provides unlimited, unrestricted access to all of Vail Resorts’ owned resorts in the North America and Australia, and additional access to partner resorts around the world. The Epic Pass is the only multi-resort pass to include significant access to European resorts throughout France, Austria, Switzerland and Italy.

New for the 2019-20 season, Vail Resorts launched the Epic Day Pass allowing guests to ski between one and seven days at world-class resorts, with the option to add holidays, for up to 50 percent off of lift ticket window prices. Starting as low as $106 for one day of skiing at any of Vail Resorts’ North American resorts, the Epic Day Pass is perfect for those skiers and riders who may not need the unlimited skiing offered by traditional season passes. Guests can also lower their cost per day by adding more days and can lock in the lowest prices by purchasing this spring.

In addition to locking in the best price for next year, existing 2018-19 pass holders can still enjoy this year’s record-breaking snowfall even longer thanks to extended seasons in Colorado and California. Breckenridge Ski Resort has announced their plan to extend this winter season – and future seasons – through Memorial Day, weather and conditions permitting. Combined with Keystone’s recent capital announcement to enhance snowmaking and position the resort to be the first to open in Colorado, the two Summit County resorts will offer one of the longest ski and snowboard seasons in the country. In California, Heavenly Mountain Resort’s season has been extended through April 28, 2019, plus four weekends of spring access: May 3-5, May 10-12, May 17-19, and May 24-27. Northstar California Resort is celebrating spring through April 21, and Kirkwood Mountain Resort will be open for skiing and riding through April 14 with a bonus 3-day-weekend April 19-21.

In honor of the amazing spring conditions at Breckenridge and Heavenly, Epic Pass holders with remaining 2018-19 Buddy Tickets will be able to use them at an even more discounted rate. Starting on April 22, any remaining Buddy Tickets can be redeemed for $50 and can be used any time from April 22 through the end of the season.

New guests who want to ski this spring can also benefit from the Turn in Your Ticket program, allowing skiers and snowboarders to apply the cost of their one-day lift ticket toward the price of an eligible 2019-20 pass, including an Epic Day Pass with four or more days. Guests can bring their same-day lift ticket to a season pass office at any of the Vail Resorts owned mountains and put the value of the ticket towards an eligible season pass product.

Benefits of Purchasing Before April 14:

  • 16 Total Discounted Tickets for Family and Friends. Purchasing an eligible 2019-20 Epic Pass product by Sunday, April 14, ensures that skiers and snowboarders will lock in the lowest price, combined with the most discounted lift tickets for friends and family to use. Ten “Buddy” tickets at a flat discounted rate for friends and family to use and six “Ski With A Friend” discounted tickets are offered with eligible season passes. Buddy Tickets provide up to nearly 40% savings while Ski With a Friend tickets are discounted from the window price, which varies throughout the season. April 14 is the deadline to receive all 16 benefit tickets. Eligible passes include the Epic Pass, Epic Local Pass, Summit Value Pass, Keystone Plus Pass, Park City Youth Pass, Tahoe Local Pass, Tahoe Value Pass, Afton Alps Pass and Mt. Brighton Pass.
