AFTON ALPS, MINN. –March 10, 2015 – As Minnesotans wrap up this season with annual trips to world-class mountain resorts out West, there is no better time to lock in the biggest savings for the 2015-16 winter season. Vail Resorts is currently selling the Epic 4-Day pass, combining four unrestricted days out West at iconic resorts such as Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and the new Park City (merging with Canyons this summer to form the largest resort in the U.S.) and four free days locally at Afton Alps, for just $389. The Epic 4-Day saves the pass holder 35 percent versus purchasing day tickets and putting just $49 down before April 12 will lock in the guaranteed lowest price.

“The Epic 4-Day is one of the best snow sports values for Minnesota-area skiers and riders,”
said Joe Yasis, Afton Alps’ general manager. “Not only do they receive access to our resorts in Colorado, Utah and Lake Tahoe in the way that works best for them, but they also receive four free days at the revitalized Afton Alps, with updated facilities, a great vibe and the most consistent snow conditions in the region.”

The Epic 4-Day Pass ($389 adult) offers skiers and riders four days out West at VailBeaver CreekBreckenridgeKeystone and Arapahoe Basin in Colorado; the soon-to-be-merged Park City Mountain Resort in Utah; HeavenlyNorthstar and Kirkwood at Lake Tahoe, and four free days locally at Afton Alps. It allows skiers and riders who traditionally take a ski trip out West to get four free bonus days locally.

“Prior to getting the Epic Pass at Afton Alps my husband and I had no concrete plans of going skiing out West,” said Minnesota local, Tricia Pelava. “We have two daughters, nine and 11 and didn’t think they’d be able to handle skiing all day in the mountains. With our Epic Passes we went to Tahoe in spring 2014 and Colorado in January of 2015. We had some of the most fantastic skiing of our lives in addition to the ease and convenience of having the pass. It’s been an absolute joy being able to plan family trips and do activities that we love, all as a family.  I’m hoping for many more experiences like this to come.”
