“These storms could not have been timed more perfectly. With more than two feet of new snow in the past week and more snow in the forecast, the skiing and riding at Vail Mountain over the holidays should be fantastic,” said Chris Jarnot, senior vice president and chief operating officer of Vail Mountain. “We’re thrilled to be able to open Vail’s legendary Sun Up and Sun Down bowls for all of our holiday guests and are hopeful that we’ll be able to open even more terrain soon.”
Vail also will be opening the Bwana Terrain Park this Saturday, with a total of 12 snow, box and rail features for skiers and riders. In addition to the new terrain added this week, guests also can enjoy Adventure Ridge for snow tubing, kids’ snowmobiling, bungee trampolines, ski biking and more.
The 10th, Vail’s newest on-mountain table-service restaurant, is open daily for lunch in the main dining room from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday guests can enjoy après at the bar from 3-6 p.m. and dinner service beginning at 5:30 p.m. Game Creek Restaurant and Bistro Fourteen are also now open for dinner service.
