National Safety Awareness Week – Play It Safe. Play All Season.
Vail Resorts is celebrating the National Ski Areas Association’s National Safety Awareness Week through Friday, Jan. 20 across its six mountain resorts – Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Heavenly and Northstar California with an emphasis on its new “Play It Safe” campaign, a multi-faceted, comprehensive approach to addressing slope safety reminding guests to “Play It Safe, Play All Season.” The campaign is aimed at communicating how guests of all ages can ski and snowboard more responsibly and still have a great time through Play It Safe messaging across a variety of in critical locations, such as terrain park exits and areas where trails merge. International Snow Sculpture Championships, Jan. 24 – Feb. 5
2012 will be the 22nd year of International Snow Sculpture Championships in Breckenridge. The sculptures "live" in the area around the Riverwalk Center grounds for visitors to see. Artists sculpt from Jan. 24 at 11 a.m. until Jan. 28 at 10 a.m. and the judging takes place at 10 a.m. on Jan. 28 with an awards ceremony at 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 29 and sculptures will remain standing weather permitting until the night of Feb. 4. Beaver Creek Food & Wine Weekend, Jan. 26-28
Beaver Creek, along with Food & Wine Magazine, welcomes six of the country’s top chefs paired with local and renowned chefs to celebrate all things culinary this winter with the Beaver Creek Food & Wine Weekend.
