Vail Resorts Announces 2 Day EDGE Card for Whistler Blackcomb

And Labour Day is the Last Chance to Receive the Lowest Price

 BROOMFIELD, Colo. – Aug. 1, 2018 – Skiers and snowboarders looking to spend more time in the mountains next winter have until Monday, Sept. 3 to receive the lowest price on Whistler Blackcomb’s new 2 Day EDGE Card, as well as 5 and 10 Day EDGE Cards, the Epic Pass, and the Whistler Blackcomb Unlimited Pass. 

New for the 2018-19 season, Whistler Blackcomb will offer a 2 Day EDGE Card, available for CAD$229, offering two deeply discounted days at Whistler Blackcomb without holiday or peak restrictions. For guests looking for an even better value, the Restricted 2 Day EDGE Card, available for just CAD$199, includes access for two days of skiing or snowboarding at Whistler Blackcomb with certain peak day restrictions.

“We’re thrilled to offer the 2-Day EDGE Card for the upcoming season, which we know will provide additional flexibility and value for our local and regional guests,” says Pete Sonntag, chief operating officer at Whistler Blackcomb.

Additionally, all 5 and 10 Day EDGE Cards offer deeply discounted days at Whistler Blackcomb. The 5 Day EDGE Card, starting at just CAD$419 with restrictions, allows pass holders to use two of the five days at any of Vail Resorts’ owned and operated ski resorts, which will now include Stevens Pass resort in Washington State. The 10 Day EDGE Card allows pass holders to use three of the ten days at Vail Resorts’ owned and operated ski resorts. The 2 Day, 5 Day, and 10 Day EDGE Cards are available to residents of Canada and Washington State and offer exclusive savings and benefits. Access to Stevens Pass is pending closure of the transaction, which is expected to occur in summer 2018.

For guests looking to enjoy unlimited skiing, the Epic Pass has added access to an additional 20 new resorts for this season, for an unprecedented total of 65 resorts throughout eight countries for USD$899. The Epic Pass, which includes unlimited, unrestricted access to Whistler Blackcomb, now also features access to Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, Fernie Alpine Resort and Kimberley Resort in British Columbia; Nakiska in Alberta; Mont Sainte Anne and Stoneham in Quebec; and Stevens Pass in Washington State. Families across Canada and Washington can also take advantage of the Epic SchoolKids Whistler Blackcomb Pack, which offers kindergartners through grade five students five free days of skiing or riding at Whistler Blackcomb for the 2018-19 winter, with no adult purchase required. Additionally, the Epic SchoolKids Pack includes one free lesson and equipment rental for first-time skiers and snowboarders. Epic SchoolKids offers an incredible way to connect kids and families with the mountains, and pairs perfectly with parents interested in purchasing a 5 Day EDGE Card.

This year, Whistler Blackcomb will offer even more value to all of its guests with its historic CAD$66 million investment, featuring the world’s first three-gondola interconnect.  The transformative investment also includes the addition of a new gondola on the Blackcomb side of the mountain, replacement of the existing Wizard and Solar Express high-speed four-passenger chairs, the replacement upgrade of the Family Ski Zone’s Emerald Express four-passenger chair with a new six-passenger high-speed lift, and the replacement of the existing Catskinner triple-passenger lift with a four-passenger high-speed chair.

Enjoy full access to Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Crested Butte* and Arapahoe Basin in Colorado; Park City in Utah; Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood at Lake Tahoe; Stowe and Okemo* in Vermont; Mount Sunapee* in New Hampshire; Stevens Pass* in Washington; Afton Alps in Minnesota; Mt.
