BROOMFIELD, Colo. — March 8, 2016 — Epic SchoolKids will return this year giving Colorado elementary school-aged children 16 free ski or snowboard days in total - four days each at Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone for the 2016-2017 season. Enrollment will begin on March 28 only at Colorado Ski & Golf, Boulder Ski Deals and Colorado Ski & Sport.  To find the nearest registration location, visit www.epicschoolkids.com/colorado.

“Epic SchoolKids is our way of making skiing and snowboarding accessible to Colorado kids in kindergarten through fifth grade. We hope by offering 16 free days at our mountains, children will be able to try skiing and snowboarding for the first time or continue their passion with the sport. There is no better sport to enjoy as a family, so when parents combine Epic SchoolKids with Epic Local passes for themselves, they’re giving their families access to the finest resorts in Colorado at an incredible value,” said Kirsten Lynch, chief marketing officer of Vail Resorts.

With Epic SchoolKids enrollment beginning March 28, Vail Resorts Retail has also made it easy for families to save money on ski and snowboard gear with the Junior Trade In Program at Colorado Ski & Golf locations and Boulder Ski Deals. Families can purchase new or used equipment for kids and then turn the gear in when the kids outgrow it and receive 50 percent off the purchase price towards the following year’s equipment.

Vail Resorts also announced today that the Epic Local Pass is now on sale, along with the Epic Pass, Summit Value Pass and Keystone A-Basin Pass. If purchased before April 10, eligible pass holders also receive six Buddy Tickets for friends and family to ski at a discounted rate.
