Vail Mountain Offers Epic Spring Package for Renewals and Epic Pass Purchases
  • Vail “super sizes” Epic Pass offering with spring lodging deals, airfare discounts, free lift tickets and rental discounts

VAIL, Colo. – March 17, 2009 – On the heels of the 2009-2010 Epic Season Pass announcement, Vail Mountain today introduced “Vail Epic Spring,” an expanded, industry-leading offer in conjunction with spring Epic Pass sales and renewals. The Vail Epic Spring program comes as a result of further collaboration with the Town of Vail and local merchants as well as the already successful Epic Pass.

In addition to skiing and snowboarding across more than 17,000 acres of terrain at six resorts, guests who purchase or renew their Epic Pass for the 2009-2010 season through Vail.com will be eligible for lodging deals throughout Vail from $99-$199 per night through April 19. In addition, guests who book lodging will be eligible to receive the following through the remainder of the 2008-2009 season, based on availability:
• 10 percent discount on domestic American Airlines flights into Vail-Eagle County Regional Airport or Denver International Airport in addition to already low fares,
• 30 percent discount on ski and snowboard rentals at any Vail Sports location,
• One free Vail lift ticket for each night of lodging booked for new Epic Pass purchasers, and
• Hundreds of last-minute offers throughout Vail via the “Vail All The Love” program (www.vailallthelove.com).
Vail Epic Summer components must be purchased as part of this package through www.vail.com or www.epicpass.com.

“The Vail Epic Spring package is our way of leveraging the popularity and value of Vail Resorts’ Epic Pass product for the benefit of our most loyal customers,” said Adam Sutner, director of sales and marketing for Vail Mountain. “This is another example of Vail Resorts, the Town of Vail and the business community collaborating to offer the industry-leading experience, value and service that our guests have come to expect.”

The 2009-2010 Epic Pass is now on sale for last year’s introductory pricing of $579 for adults and $279 for children, ages 5-12, for unrestricted skiing and snowboarding at all five Vail Resorts – Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone and Heavenly – as well as at Arapahoe Basin. Guests can lock in the current pricing with a $49 down payment through April 9 with the remainder due in the fall.

Epic Season Pass purchasers will continue to receive exclusive offers and promotions for lodging, dining, ski rentals, equipment, ski school and special events for the 2009-2010 ski and snowboard season as part of the Epic Pass Club. All Vail Resorts season passes will continue to utilize the new, state-of-the-art Radio Frequency Technology for an “easy scan” process that gives skiers and snowboarders the option to keep their pass zipped inside their jacket while getting “scanned” in lift lines at Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone in Colorado and Heavenly in California and Nevada. The Epic Season Pass is non-transferable and non-refundable. Additional details can be found at www.snow.com or www.epicpass.com.
