Mark Hendrickson Named Senior Manager, Vail Mountain Adventure Center
VAIL, Colo. – April 8, 2013 – Vail Mountain, the largest ski resortin the United States,announced today the appointment of Mark Hendrickson to the position of senior manager, Vail Mountain Adventure Center, effective today. Hendrickson will direct the overall summer mountain guest experience as well as year-round mountain activities for Vail Mountain. He will be based in Vail and will report directly to Paul Fillion, senior director of Vail Mountain operations.
 
“Mark’s experience in a variety of mountain operations roles – particularly during the summer – will be a great asset to Vail, particularly as we look to expand our summer offerings for guests of all ages and abilities,” said Fillion. “He’s clearly proven his ability in growing a summer mountain program and we look forward to his continued success here in Vail.
 
Most recently, Hendrickson was a summer operations manager for Mammoth Mountain where he designed and built terrain parks and trail systems for all levels of mountain bike enthusiasts as well as events. Throughout his 16-years in Mammoth, he also held positions in retail sales and rentals, as a PSIA certified ski instructor and ski patroller at Mammoth Mountain and also as a bike park ranger for the resort. He has a bachelor’s degree in recreation management from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania.
