Gondola One Open for Bike Hauls this Weekend, June 14-16
VAIL, Colo. – June 12, 2013 – Gondola One at Vail Mountain, the largest ski resortin the United States, will be open for scenic rides and bike hauls out of Vail Village this weekend, June 14-16. Open trails will include Berrypicker and Fireweed up to the top of Gondola One for hiking, and portions of Hank’s Hideaway, Fred’s Lunch, Lionsdown, Cubs Way, Gitalong Road, Big Mamba and Onza Alley for mountain biking.
 
Sarge’s outdoor barbeque at Mid-Vail will also be open to feed the appetites of hungry hikers and mountain bikers, as well as for guests just looking to enjoy lunch with a view of the Gore Range.
 
Starting Thursday, June 20, the Eagle Bahn Gondola will open for summer operations, including access to signature summer activities at Adventure Ridge and on-mountain dining.
 
Scenic rides will be offered on both gondolas for the summer season. Bike hauls will also be offered on both gondolas and additional trails will open as soon as conditions permit.Both Gondola One and the Eagle Bahn Gondola will operate according to the following summer schedules:
 
Gondola One*
  • Weekend-Only: June 14-16
    • 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday through Sunday
  • Daily: Thursday, June 20 – Monday, Sept. 2
    • 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
*Bikes will be allowed up the gondola until 4 p.m.
 
Eagle Bahn Gondola and Adventure Ridge**
  • Daily: Thursday, June 20 – Monday, Sept. 2
    • 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday through Wednesday
    • 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday through Saturday
  • Weekends-Only: Sept. 6-8, 13-15, 20-22 and 27-29.
    • 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday through Sunday
**Bikes will be allowed up the gondola until 6 p.m.
