BROOMFIELD, Colo. — Aug. 18, 2015 — As summer winds down, powder days are just around the corner, and with Keystone Resort’s Opening Day for the 2015-16 season fewer than 100 days away, it is the best time for skiers and snowboarders to secure Colorado’s most valuable season pass. The Epic Local Pass provides access to the premier mountains in Colorado – Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone and Arapahoe Basin – and Monday, Sept. 7, is the last day to lock in the guaranteed lowest price.

“The Epic Local Pass stands out for providing the most access to the finest resorts as well as the best value for skiing and snowboarding in Colorado,” said Kirsten Lynch, chief marketing officer of Vail Resorts.

At $579, the Epic Local Pass pays for itself in just four days and features unlimited, unrestricted days at Breckenridge, Keystone and Arapahoe Basin – plus 10 total days at Vail and Beaver Creek. For Colorado residents with school-aged children, utilizing the Epic Local Pass in conjunction with the new Epic SchoolKids Colorado Pack provides families unprecedented value and the perfect opportunity to enjoy Colorado’s premier resorts together. The Epic SchoolKids program re-opened to Colorado kindergarteners through 5th graders on Aug.17, providing four days of free skiing and riding at each of the best resorts in their backyard – Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone. By combining Epic Local passes for the parents with Epic SchoolKids for the kids, a family of four with two elementary school-aged children will save nearly $600.

The savings don’t stop there. Avid skier and snowboarders are already making plans to update and upgrade their winter gear and equipment for the coming season by taking advantage of the deep discounts offered at the annual SKI REX ski sale available at all four Colorado Ski & Golf (CSG) locations along the Front Range as well as Boulder Ski Deals and Colorado Ski & Sports in Lone Tree. Discounts ranging from 30 to 75 percent off skis, boots, snowboards, bindings, clothing and accessories for adults, teens and children are the signature attraction of this 22-year old sale that unofficially marks the start of the coming ski and snowboard season.

“There is no better time to get everything any skier or rider needs to enjoy the upcoming season at best ski resorts in Colorado,” said Lynch.
