Town Cavalry Returns to Play Vail’s Summer FAC on Friday, Aug. 1
Local band Town Cavalry returns for their second show of the summer at Vail’s FAC (Friday Afternoon Club) at Eagle’s Nest this Friday, Aug. 1. The group is made up of local musicians from The Congress, MTHDS, My Brother’s Keeper, and Frogs Gone Fishin’, and combines covers of rock, blues, reggae, funk, country and jams for an energetic and fun live performance.

Take a scenic ride up the Eagle Bahn Gondola to Vail’s summer FAC (Friday Afternoon Club) at Eagle’s Nest this Friday, July 25 for live music from local band Upside. Guests can expect original rock, reggae and blues tunes from the group which includes Kevin Heinz on vocals and guitar, Justin Ernest on guitar, Niek Velvis on bass, and Shawn Mckeown on drums.

All Available Hiking and Biking trails are Now Open for the Summer at Vail Mountain
All available hiking and biking trails on Vail Mountain are now open for the summer, including the Kinnickinnick and Sunlight hiking trails, which recently re-opened. Both trails had been closed in recent years due to construction projects including The 10th, Gondola One, and the Mountain Top Express Lift (#4).

Vail Mountain’s newest on-mountain dining experience, The 10th, is now open for the summer. The restaurant serves lunch on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Sunday, Aug. 31.

Vail Mountain’s new ropes challenge course designed specifically for kids is now open at Adventure Ridge. The new activity is a perfect introductory course for children who are not yet big enough to try Vail’s larger ropes challenge courses.

Vail Submits Proposal to Expand Racing and Training Terrain at Golden Peak and Donates Land for New Ski and Snowboard Club Vail Clubhouse
Vail Resorts, announced today that it has submitted a proposal to expand Vail Mountain’s race and training terrain at Golden Peak. The proposal, which is subject to U.S. Forest Service approval, includes increasing the size of Vail Mountain’s operational boundary by 68 acres to allow for approximately 41 acres of additional trails, three surface lifts and new snowmaking infrastructure. With these improvements, 760 vertical feet would be added to the venue, providing 1,570 vertical feet of racing and training terrain across approximately 68 acres.
