Canyons Resort Announces Summer Operations
HIGHLIGHTS
·         Putting Course and Canyon Mountain Sports retail open Friday, May 23rd

·         The Farm at Canyons opens for dinner only starting Friday, June 20th

Park City, UT (April 30, 2014) – With the 2013-14 winter season at a close, Canyons Resort is gearing up for summer operations by announcing opening dates for the 2014 summer season. Retail shops and the Putting Course will open Friday, May 23rd, and full summer operations including Red Pine Gondola and Canyons Resort Bike Park will open Thursday, June12th.  Red Pine Gondola will operate seven days a week from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. until Sept. 1st, when operations will go to Thursday through Sunday until Oct.5th.This season, extended hours on Wednesdays until 8 p.m. allow both locals and visitors to enjoy late afternoon summer riding and hiking.  Red Tail Grill will remain open through the spring for lunch and dinner, adding breakfast to the operations starting Monday, June 2nd. The Farm will open for dinner only on Friday, June 20th.

Families can experience a wide variety of Canyons’ summer activity on one Family Adventure Pass.  For only $69 for adults and $59 for juniors ages 5-12, the Family Adventure Pass includes a gondola ticket, Putting Course access, 1 hour fishing rod rental, 1/2 hour boat rental and a ride on the Epic Zip Tour.

Back again, Canyons Resort’s Annual July3rd celebration is a great way to kick off the holiday weekend. The evening will commence on Thursday with family activities in the resort village beginning at 3 p.m., followed by The Soulistics taking the stage and a firework show at dusk. All activities are free to the public.

July 5th kicks off Canyons’ Free Summer Concert Series, taking place every Saturday at 6 p.m. through Labor Day Weekend. Music includes soul-infused rock and roll band Trigger Happy and southern bayou inspired Honey Island Swamp Band. 

Guests who purchase their 2014-15 Epic Pass for next winter can access the Red Pine Gondola all summer long.  Those who are interested in the lift-served Canyons’ Bike Park have the opportunity to upgrade their Epic Pass to include Canyons Bike Park for the 2014 summer season for only $199.
