Canyons Village Events and Activities Announced for Summer 2021

Today, Park City Mountain, in partnership with Canyons Village Management Association (CVMA), announced plans for summer events and activities at Canyons Village including the return of the Canyons Village Summer Concert Series and annual 3rd of July Celebration. Along with the return of summer events, the Red Pine Gondola will be open from Friday, June 18 – Monday, Sept. 6 for scenic lift rides, hiking and bike haul.

Park City Mountain Opens for the 2020-21 Winter Season

Park City Mountain is now open for the 2020-21 winter season. The resort opened both base areas this morning with 257 acres of terrain, seven runs and a terrain park. The traditional opening day package included runs off of Payday and First Time lifts at the Park City Mountain Village and runs off of Saddleback and High Meadow lifts out of Canyons Village.

Park City Mountain to Open for Summer Operations Starting on Thursday, July 2 with Commitment to Employee and Guest Safety

Park City Mountain announced today that it will open for summer on Thursday, July 2 and shared operating plans as well as its commitment to safety amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The resort will open with a limited summer footprint operating Thursday – Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. Activities will include the alpine slide, mountain coaster, scenic lift rides, hiking and bike haul.

All Vail Resorts properties are operating normally. The health and wellbeing of our employees and guests is our top priority. As a part of that commitment, Vail Resorts is closely monitoring the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization’s (WHO) statements regarding novel coronavirus (COVID-2019) and following the guidelines from these agencies, as well as from local health departments where we operate resorts in the United States, Canada and Australia.

Registration is now open for Park City Mountain’s third annual Silver Summits Challenge presented by Helly Hansen on Saturday, Feb. 29. This is the chance to officially earn your bragging rights by conquering the largest ski resort in the U.S. in one day.

Park City Mountain Now Open for the 2019-20 Season

Today, Park City Mountain officially opened for the 2019-20 season. Opening Day celebrations began at 8 a.m. in the Park City Mountain Village as the first skiers and snowboarders arrived to enjoy donuts, hot chocolate and music in the village. Lifts started spinning at 8:55 a.m. followed by the traditional Opening Day banner breaking at the top of Payday Lift.

Park City Mountain Scheduled to Open on Friday, Nov. 22

Park City Mountain is ready to celebrate the beginning of another winter season. The resort is scheduled to open on Friday, Nov. 22 at 9 a.m., in time for the Thanksgiving holiday. New this season, Park City Mountain will debut several on-mountain enhancements including a new lift and a new restaurant as the resort continues to invest in the guest experience.
