Skiers and riders can count on making turns at Lake Tahoe this weekend as Heavenly Mountain Resort and Northstar California Resort officially open for the 2014-2015 season on Friday, November 21.

The first of winter’s snowfall has already arrived at the Best of Tahoe resorts and skiers and riders can still receive early-season rates for Tahoe Local, Tahoe Value, Epic Local and Epic season passes – all of which offer access to Heavenly Mountain Resort, Northstar California and Kirkwood Mountain Resort.  Recognized by SKI Magazine as the best of Lake Tahoe’s resorts in 2015, Heavenly and Northstar offer the most celebrated experiences in the Sierra; and acclaimed by Skiing Magazine for delivering record-setting natural snow depth and unmatched terrain, Kirkwood invites those in pursuit of a pure mountain experience to ski and ride the mountain’s iconic terrain. With California’s most valuable season pass options starting at $429 and guaranteed through Sunday, Oct. 12, pass holders receive access to the most terrain and best conditions in the region as well as fewer restrictions than other resorts’ season pass options. 

 

This Saturday, thousands of Vail Resorts, Inc. employees will gather to complete 13 trail, habitat or school restoration projects across the U.S. and in Jamaica to commemorate Vail Resorts’ newly launched EpicPromise, a new brand platform designed to engage resort guests and residents of the communities where it operates in one of the company’s core values, “Do good.”

Monday, Sept. 1 marks the last chance to receive the early-season rate on Tahoe Local, Tahoe Value, and Epic season passes – all of which offer access to the Best of Tahoe resorts, Heavenly Mountain Resort, Northstar California and Kirkwood Mountain Resort. 

KIRKWOOD, Calif. – June 27, 2014 – Summer adventures at Kirkwood kickoff on July 4 offering guests ample outdoor recreational opportunities including mountain biking, hiking, disc golf and horseback riding. The resort also hosts several popular events throughout July and August such as the Kirkwood Volunteer Fire Department (KVFD) BBQ, the 13^th Annual Kirkwood Wildflower Festival and the 13^th Annual Thin Air Chili Cook Off. 

Vail Resorts, Inc. today announced that the Epic Pass is now on sale for the 2014-15 season at epicpass.com. While more multi-resort passes continue to emerge, the Epic Pass is still unmatched in terms of popularity, access and value.

The Best of Tahoe resorts, Heavenly Mountain Resort, Northstar California and Kirkwood Mountain Resort, are back with the region’s most valuable season pass line-up, offering access to the most terrain and best conditions in the region and fewer restrictions than other resorts’ season pass options. Starting at $409 with as little as $49 down and the balance due in the fall, skiers and riders have until April 13 to secure the best available price for winter 2014-15 season passes and six buddy tickets.  

Skiers and riders can count on making turns at Lake Tahoe this weekend as Heavenly Mountain Resort officially opens for the 2013-2014 season on Friday, November 22 at 9:00 a.m. Heavenly will operate the Gondola and Tamarack Express, accessing 14 acres and 1.5 miles of skiable terrain on California Trail to Tamarack Return. Heavenly will offer free shuttle buses for guests from the California Main Lodge parking area to the Gondola. 

Heavenly Mountain and Kirkwood Mountain Resorts, through the Vail Resorts Echo program, partnered with the City of South Lake Tahoe for the fourth annual Vail Resorts Echo Day on Saturday, September 21, 2013. 312 resort employees, friends and family volunteered to revamp Bijou Community Park, putting in a combined effort of 936 volunteer hours Saturday. Volunteers laid sod to build a family picnic area, painted signs and picnic tables, planted shrubs, cleared bushes, redistributed wood chips, resurfaced the skatepark, raked the volleyball courts, picked up trash, and cleaned up the bicycle path on Al Tahoe Blvd. 

With less than 100 days until the beginning of the 2013-2014 ski and ride season, now is the time to purchase the best-valued season pass to Tahoe’s three premier mountain destinations, Heavenly, Kirkwood and Northstar. The Tahoe Local and Tahoe Value Passes offer access to more than 263 trails, 14 terrain parks and 10,270 acres all on one pass; but the current season pass prices are only guaranteed through September 2, 2013.
