Vail Resorts is pleased to announce the 2020-21 ski and ride season will be extended at Beaver Creek Resort, Keystone Resort and Vail Mountain Resort. The extended season means more time on mountain and on the snow. It is a way of saying thank you to pass holders and guests for their continued support, for following safety protocols and showing personal responsibility during this unprecedented season, and for helping us open and stay open.

Vail Resorts announced today that it will open summer operations at Keystone and Crested Butte on June 26, Vail and Beaver Creek on July 1, and Breckenridge to follow on July 4.

All Vail Resorts properties are operating normally. The health and wellbeing of our employees and guests is our top priority. As a part of that commitment, Vail Resorts is closely monitoring the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization’s (WHO) statements regarding novel coronavirus (COVID-2019) and following the guidelines from these agencies, as well as from local health departments where we operate resorts in the United States, Canada and Australia.

Keystone Resort has submitted a proposal to the U.S. Forest Service to provide lift-served access to bowl skiing within the ski area’s operating boundary in the Bergman and Erikson Bowls. The proposal aligns with the resort’s Master Development Plan that was accepted in 2009, and if approved will greatly enhance the winter guest experience by leveraging under-utilized resort terrain and improving access to existing terrain that is currently only accessible via hiking and the resort’s cat skiing program.

Keystone Resort announced today that it will open North Peak on Friday which will nearly double the resort’s total skiable acres for skiers and riders. With more than 80 acres across two peaks, and five lifts open, Keystone is offering diverse beginner and intermediate terrain.

Keystone Resort announced today that it will open for the 2019-20 winter season on Saturday, Oct. 12, the resort’s earliest opening in more than 20 years. Thanks to the investments in snowmaking and ideal early season temperatures, Keystone is positioned to be the first resort to open in North America.

Vail Resorts, Inc. (NYSE: MTN) today announced that Jody Churich, previously senior director of skier services at Park City Mountain Resort, will assume the role of vice president and general manager at Keystone Resort, effective October 15. The appointment follows the August announcement that Geoff Buchheister would be transitioning from his role as Keystone’s general manager to serve as the new chief operating officer at Whistler Blackcomb in British Columbia, Canada.
