·         More Snow on the Way in Advance of Presidents’ Day Weekend

Lake Tahoe, Calif./Nev. – February 16, 2011 – Valentine’s Day was the perfect time for La Nina to reunite with her one true soul mate, Lake Tahoe, where her glory is celebrated by the foot. Heavenly Mountain Resort (www.skiheavenly.com), Northstar-at-Tahoe (www.northstarattahoe.com) and their guests were the beneficiaries of this union, with 20 inches of new snow in the last 10 hours.

Forecasters are predicting cold temperatures and continued snow showers throughout the week, which could result in another three feet of snow prior to the long Presidents’ Day Weekend.

“Tahoe’s spring-like conditions over the past month have been fantastic,” said John Wagnon, Heavenly’s vice president of marketing and sales. “But winter is back in a big way.”

The new snow and cold weather come at a time when the mountains begin to turn up the heat on the activities and entertainment. Here are some of the upcoming events at Heavenly and Northstar-at-Tahoe:
