Within a week of opening for the ski season, resorts throughout western North America received a massive dose of winter weather – including the arrival of as much as six feet of snow accumulation and cold temperatures which dipped to the single digits. National weather forecasts call for additional snowfall and continued cold temperatures throughout the first week of December.

South Lake Tahoe and Truckee, Calif./Nev. – Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016 – Heavenly Mountain Resort and Northstar California Resort announced today that the resorts will set new target opening days from Friday, Nov. 18 to Wednesday, Nov. 23. Shops, restaurants and activities in Heavenly Village and The Village at Northstar will open Friday, Nov. 18; Heavenly will offer scenic gondola rides and Ridge Rider Coaster tours Saturday, Nov. 19 and Sunday, Nov. 20.

The Best of Tahoe Resorts: Heavenly Mountain, Northstar California and Kirkwood Mountain are accepting applications for the upcoming winter 2016-17 season and will host hiring events on-site at each location on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016 from 2-5 p.m. Northstar will also offer a separate morning event from 9-11a.m., before the afternoon event. The resorts will hold on-the-spot interviews and are prepared to extend same-day job offers. Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood are in search of passionate, ambitious and brave employees to fill a variety of full-time and part-time positions at any of the three resorts in departments including food and beverage, mountain operations, retail, rentals, ticket and pass sales and more., The Best of Tahoe Resorts will also hire ages 14 and up for jobs as cashiers, Ski and Snowboard School teachers’ assistants, guest services representatives, parking attendants, cleaning attendants, ticket sales, scanning and other mountain and village departments.
