Vail Resorts’ 1% For The Forest Partnership with The Nature Conservancy Helps to Protect and Restore Ecological Stewardship Projects
The Nature Conservancy and Vail Resorts announce the 1% For The Forest initiative, a beneficiary project in which one percent of revenue from Epic Discovery activities at Heavenly Mountain Resort help fund important ecological restoration and conservation projects managed by The Nature Conservancy. The important eco-discovery projects, the Independence Lake Preserve and River Fork Ranch Preserve, connect citizens of the region with uniquely iconic natural settings.

Heavenly Mountain Resort Debuts Silver Rush Zip Line Tour As the Newest Epic Discovery Experience This Summer
New this season at Epic Discovery, the 4,159-foot Silver Rush Zip Line flies guests from tree to tree at speeds up to 40 miles per hour. Overlooking the high desert of the Carson Valley, Silver Rush is comprised of five segmented zip lines; the final of which flies guests over the waters of East Peak Lake. Guests enjoy a scenic ATV ride back to the top of the Gondola. The three-hour long, intimate experience is Heavenly Mountain Resort’s signature activity debuting at Epic Discovery this summer.

The 2017-2018 Tahoe Local Pass Unlocks the Best of the West with Access to Tahoe, Park City, and Colorado; 2016-2017 Ski Season Extended at Heavenly and Northstar
While Tahoe continues to enjoy the largest snowpack in 22 years, the Best of Tahoe Resorts today announces the availability of the Tahoe Local Pass for the 2017-2018 season, providing unrestricted access to Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood. The Tahoe Local Pass also includes limited access to all of Vail Resorts’ iconic mountains in Colorado and Utah.

Heavenly Mountain Resort, Northstar California Announce Extended Ski Season
Amidst the largest snowpack in 22 years, the Best of Tahoe Resorts announce extended ski seasons for Heavenly Mountain Resort daily through April 23, and the weekend of April 28 – 30; Northstar California now offers skiing through April 23. Kirkwood continues with legendary spring skiing through April 16.

As Much as Six Feet of New Snow Delivered in the Last Week to Top Ski Resorts Across the Western United States
The New Year has resolved to deliver massive amounts of snow across ski resorts in the western United States, with as much as six feet falling in the last week. A heavy band of snow is expected to continue falling today across the mountains throughout the day, including Colorado’s Vail Mountain, Beaver Creek Resort, Breckenridge and Keystone; Utah’s Park City Mountain; and the Lake Tahoe Region’s Heavenly Mountain Resort, Northstar California and Kirkwood Mountain Resort.

Famed Signature Terrain Slated to Open at Best of Tahoe Resorts
North and South Lake Tahoe, Calif./Nev. – Dec. 16, 2016 – 5 to 18 inches of fresh snowfall this morning has enabled Heavenly Mountain Resort, Northstar California and Kirkwood Mountain to open additional terrain to guests of all ability levels this week, with more trails scheduled to open for the weekend. Combined, the three resorts offer guests the most open terrain within the Lake Tahoe region.
