Breckenridge Announces More Terrain for Thanksgiving
 Powder Pilgrims flock to Breckenridge Ski Resort for Thanksgiving
  • Peak 9 opens for the season with Beaver Run Chair, Quicksilver Chair, Mercury SuperChair, Peak 8 SuperConnect, and SnowFlake
  • Imperial chair opens extending high alpine skiing
  • Thanksgiving Dinner prepared by Colorado Chef of The Year
 BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. –Nov. 24, 2010 – The Breckenridge Ski Resort announced today its plan for skier services and expanded terrain for Thanksgiving weekend. On Wednesday, Nov. 24th peak 9 will be open with full base area services, including on-mountain dining at Ten Mile Station and The Maggie. Peak 9’s opening will also include Ski & Ride school terrain off of the Quicksilver Super6 chair.
 
Peak 9 trails include Silverthorne, Crosscut/ Lower Sawmill, Upper Bonanaza, Upper Cashier and Lower American. Guests staying on Peak 9 will have access to Peak 8 terrain via Quicksilver Super6 chair and the Peak 8 SuperConnect. Skiers and riders will be able to ski back to Peak 9 via the Crosscut and Sawmill trails.  
 
Thanks to a remarkable effort by the Breckenridge snowmaking team and overwhelming support of Mother Nature, Breckenridge Ski Resort will also have expanded skiing on Peak 8, with the Imperial Express lift joining the Colorado SuperChair, Rocky Mountain SuperChair, Rip’s Ride and Chair 5, 6 Chair, already open on Peak 8.    Breckenridge Ski Resort will have approximately 1,200 total acres of skiing and riding for the holiday weekend.
 
With all the new snow at Breckenridge Ski Resort, why leave the slopes early to cook Thanksgiving dinner? Let the Colorado Chef of the Year prepare it for you. Sevens Restaurant, Colorado Chef of the Year and Breckenridge Ski Resort Executive Chef, Travis Smith, will be overseeing Thanksgiving Dinner on Nov. 25th from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. The buffet will include all the fixings of a home cooked meal without the hassle.
