Daily Summer Operations Commence at Beaver Creek this Saturday, June 11
 
Beaver Creek, Colo. June 9, 2011 – Beaver Creek summer launches into full swing this weekendand there’s no better time to celebrate the season and soak in some sun and fun in the outdoors. Choose from a variety of outdoor adventures and events for the whole family seven days a week.
 
Daily scenic lift rides on the Centennial Express Chairlift (#6) will take place June 11 through Sept. 5 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weather permitting. Lift tickets are required to ride the chairlift during the summer and up to three kids 12 and under ride for free with a paying adult. 2011-2012 season pass holders receive unlimited, free scenic access to the Centennial Express Lift. At the top of the Centennial Express Lift, Spruce Saddle Restaurant features spectacular views while serving up delicious fare between 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Purchase a combined lift and lunch package for $29 and receive a $15 voucher valid towards lunch at Spruce Saddle.
 
 
The Beaver Creek Hiking Center is set to open Saturday, June 11 operating daily through Labor Day, Sept. 5 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. With over 50 years of combined hiking experience on staff, the professional guides share their passion and appreciation for the Colorado Rockies with guests of all ages and experiences. Take a complimentary hike with the family from the Summer Adventure Center, enjoy an introduction to the mountain on the Beaver Creek Mountain Hike, or spend an afternoon conquering a Colorado Fourteener. All hikes and tours include transportation, a professional guide, use of Salomon packs and boots, Leki hiking poles, rain gear, bottled water, Gatorade and Nature Valley granola bars. Additional equipment, including child-carrying backpacks, is available to rent. Private tours are also available with a reservation. In addition to hiking, the Beaver Creek Hiking Center also offers private guided mountain biking tours geared towards beginners and intermediates. Or, guests can explore the mountain on their own by purchasing a lift ticket and bike haul ticket for $29. Guests should keep in mind that trail openings will be weather dependent and more terrain will continue to open as conditions permit.
 
The Beaver Creek Tennis Center, located adjacent to the Highlands Lodge in Beaver Creek Village, is scheduled to open for the summer Friday, June 17. The facility features five Har-Tu clay courts and two hard courts as well as a completely remodeled pro shop that specializes in men’s and women’s tennis racquets, attire and accessories. In addition to the new shop, court improvements are underway including the creation of new shaded shelter areas to relax under between matches.
 
Tee off at three championship golf courses this summer at the Beaver Creek Golf Club and Red Sky Ranch. Thanks to Mother Nature’s generous snowfall this winter, the courses are in great shape and greener than ever. Juniors, 18 and under, golf for free with a paid adult Monday through Thursday at the Beaver Creek Golf Club and a special twilight rate of $95 is available to golfers after 2 p.m. find more information on great Stay & Play deals at both courses at www.beavercreek.com. Red Sky Ranch offers the Flex 36 option; play 36 holes in any combination over four consecutive days for only $300.
 
High Mountain Adventure Tours, motorized tours across the mountain in a customized vehicle, provide a unique way to explore the geological beauty of the area, learn more about flora, fauna, wildflowers, and more while taking in the area’s amazing views. One hour tours begin Saturday, June 11 at 10 a.m. from Spruce Saddle and the last tour departs at 4 p.m. Tours are $25 per person or purchase a Tour and Lift package or a Tour and Lunch package for $35. The Tour, Lift and Lunch package is only $45 per person.
 
Beano’s Cabin delivers a truly unique summertime dining experience serving award-winning Colorado cuisine prepared by Executive Chef and author of Signatures, Steven Topple.  To top off a five-course dinner, getting there is half the fun.
