Beaver Creek Announces Summer Activities & Events: Fun for all; on and off the hill

Beaver Creek, Colo., May 11, 2017 – Beaver Creek’s array of summer activities and events provide fun for all ages and all ability levels, on and off the mountain. With 50 miles of mountain bike and 62 miles of hiking trails, 4x4 tours, horseback riding, rock climbing, swimming, whitewater rafting, kayaking, fly-fishing, golfing, tennis, famous rodeos, live music, fine dining, culinary and wine festivals, summer in the Rocky Mountains is as restorative as it is invigorating.

Beaver Creek Summer Adventure Center is the Gateway to Family Fun and Unique Experiences
Located in the heart of the Beaver Creek Village, the Beaver Creek Summer Adventure Center beckons guests to enjoy a Colorado mountain vacation of family outdoor fun.  As the portal to all summer fun, the Beaver Creek Summer Adventure Center offers activity recommendations, hike, bike, and fly fishing guided tours, food and wine excursions, family activities, equipment rentals, tickets, packages, and more.

Gore Creek Fly Fisherman
Distant high country streams feed into to Gore Creek, the Eagle River, the Colorado River, and the Roaring Fork for some of the best fly fishing in the world – all of which are situated within an 80-mile radius of Beaver Creek. Summer Day Camps for Kids
Beaver Creek Kids’ Day Camp offers kids ages 5 to 12 a full day of fun in the mountains with outdoor adventures designed specifically to explore, educate and entertain campers all summer long. Activities include face painting, pony rides, panning for gold, martial arts, canoeing, archery, kayaking, swimming and hiking. Beaver Creek Outdoor Yoga Series
The unmatched scenic backdrop of Beaver Creek Mountain offers the ultimate setting for finding balance and meditative rejuvenation.  Classes are held each Wednesday, June 28 through August 9, from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. in Centennial Park, at the base of the Buckaroo Gondola and are complimentary and for all levels. Mats are provided on a first-come, first-serve basis; bringing your own mat, water bottle and sunscreen is encouraged. Concerts by the Creek
Nothing says Colorado in the summertime more than lush green grass, mountain air and free live music with a Rocky Mountain backdrop. Join us on Wednesdays from June 28th- August 9th for a complimentary music experience perfect for all ages. Taking place at Creekside Park, Concerts by the Creek is nestled in the heart of Beaver Creek, steps away from the village core, featuring a variety of genres: soul, indie, folk, and more. Village F.A.C.  (Friday Afternoon Club)
“Friday Afternoon Club” – an Eagle County tradition - comes to Beaver Creek Village this summer. Every Friday, from June 23rd – August 25th, bring the whole family out to the Beaver Creek plaza for live music, shopping, games and more. Try a bite from one of the local restaurants, or purchase a  beverage and soak up the summer sun at the seasonal Plaza Pavilion, located at the west end of the ice rink.

Culinary Connection
Stop by the Plaza Pavilion in the Beaver Creek Village on Saturday afternoons throughout the summer to mix and mingle with the behind the scenes people who give Beaver Creek its world-renowned culinary reputation – Beaver Creek chefs, sommeliers and beyond. Each session is unique – from cooking demonstrations and wine pairings to discussions on the history of a storied Beaver Creek gourmet outlet – and each session offers the chance to try a free sampling of the restaurants’ tasty creations.

Cozy Up to Big Name Artists at the VPAC
The Vilar Performing Arts Center (VPAC) in Beaver Creek is an intimate 530-seat theater inspired by the Littman’s Kunstler Theater in Munich, is a facility of unparalleled grandeur, breathtaking architectural design with the highest quality finish work and acoustics available. Summer Races at Beaver Creek

June 24 - Summer Solstice Trail Run
Kick off the summer in Beaver Creek’s Creekside Park with a 5K or 10K trail running race benefitting the Vail Valley Charitable Fund. Bring the kids to participate in the free Kids Fun Run. Following the race, racers are invited to enjoy food provided by a local restaurant and live entertainment in Creekside Park.  
July 8-9 - Triple Bypass Bike Ride
The Triple Bypass Bicycle Ride is recognized as one of the premier cycling events for those who DARE! Celebrating the 29th Anniversary of the Triple Bypass Bicycle Ride, the Triple offers two days of enjoying the beautiful Rocky Mountains on your bike, with over 10,000 feet of challenging elevation gain.
July 15-16 - XTERRA Triathlon & Trail Run
The Beaver Creek XTERRA Trail Run offers stunning scenery, dreamy single track trails and a festive post-race atmosphere in the Beaver Creek Village.  Offering distances of 5K (3.1 miles), 10K (6.2 miles) and 20K (12.4 miles), the all-ages, family-friendly event offers races for every level of endurance. 
July 22 - Colorado Eagle River Ride
Beaver Creek and S.O.S. Outreach have partnered to present the Colorado-Eagle River Ride.  Riders will loop Beaver Creek Resort and continue along the scenic banks of the Colorado and Eagle Rivers.  Multiple races distances – 100 miles, 68 miles and 42 miles – offer riders of different ability levels suitable options.
August 13 - Beaver Creek Half Marathon, 10k & 5k
Guests are invited to run in a favorite summer tradition and enjoy a variety of distance options – all of which begin and finish in Beaver Creek’s Creekside Park.  Beautiful scenery along unpaved roads and trails offer a pristine setting for a morning run.  The Beaver Creek Half Marathon.
