Bavarian Foods, Beer Garden and Live Music Return to Beaver Creek for the 18th Annual Oktoberfest
  • Labor Day Weekend festivities featuring Hard Day’s Night, Tribute to The Beatles, and Mark Wood and the Parrot Head Band, Tribute to Jimmy Buffet
  • The fun continues all weekend long with Kids’ Fun Zones, Costume Contests, and Oktoberfest Shuffle 10k, 5k, and 1k
BEAVER CREEK, Colo., August 18, 2017 – Two full days of Bavarian fun are planned for this weekend in Beaver Creek to celebrate the 18th Annual Beaver Creek Oktoberfest, September 2-3, 2017. The celebration kicks off on Saturday at 11 a.m. with a beer garden, authentic Bavarian food, Kids’ Fun Zone and live music from Trachtenkapelle out of Lech- Zürs, Austria. The event hosts live musical acts throughout the day, a Bavarian costume contest and a 5K, 10K and Family Fun 1K race on Sunday. The beer garden and live music events are free to enter and will be a foot stompin’ oom-pah-pah musical good time.  Beaver Creek Oktoberfest is presented in partnership with Spaten Beer.
 
This year’s live music features Trachtenkapelle from Beaver Creek’s sister city of Lech-Zürs, Austria, the Helmut Fricker Band, the rock and roll sounds of Hard Day’s Night on Saturday from 4:30 to 6 p.m. and Mark Wood and the Parrot Head Band on Sunday from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
 
The Kids’ Fun Zone will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., located one level above the Plaza, on Saturday and Sunday offering arts, crafts, and activities designed for kids 12-and-under.
 
Don’t miss the Bavarian Costume contest that will take place on Saturday at 4 p.m. on the main stage. Guests can register starting at 12 p.m. at the red Guest Service tent on the plaza – spaces are limited so make sure to sign up early. The Kids’ European Alpenhorn Contest registration will take place on Sunday starting at 12 p.m. in the village with the Alpenhorn contest commencing at 4 p.m.
 
The Oktoberfest Shuffle on Sunday, Sept. 3 is a fun way to see the mountain and kick-start the morning. The race begins at 10 a.m. and includes a 5K, 10K and Family Fun 1K option for all ages and ability levels. Race participants will receive a gift, bratwurst and beer or non-alcoholic drink. To pre-register for the event, visit www.beavercreek.com/oktoberfest. Pre-registration is $35 for adults and $40 the day of the race. The pre-registration for participants ages 7-18 is $25 and $30 the day of the race. Children 6-and-under participate for free. All proceeds will benefit the Vail Valley Charitable Fund.
 
Oktoberfest VIP Experience
An upgraded VIP Experience is available for the Oktoberfest celebration at Beaver Creek. The VIP Experience includes access to the White Carpet Club, a private retreat in the heart of the Beaver Creek Village, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. White Carpet Club access includes a lounge area, private locker space, private restrooms, a complimentary beer tasting and non-alcoholic refreshments. Enjoy complimentary German appetizers and a private beer tasting at Toscanini’s VIP patio area, adjacent to the Oktoberfest concert stage. Guests will receive a commemorative beer tasting glass. Dog-friendly Areas
During summer festivals at Beaver Creek, leashed dogs are permitted in designated dog-friendly areas, outside of festival boundaries.
