Introducing Beaver Creek’s New Thursday Afternoon Wine Excursions
Beaver Creek, Colo., July 1, 2015 – Beaver Creek Resort will begin an all new, one-of-a-kind experience on the mountain starting this Thursday, July 2 and continuing every Thursday through Sept. 3. The Beaver Creek Wine Excursions will offer guests two ways to participate in the new wine outing, the first of which via a 4x4 Adventure Tour and the second by way of hiking with a professional guide from Beaver Creek’s Hiking Center. Both tours end with a relaxing wine, cheese and charcuterie pairing at Beano’s Cabin.

Beaver Creek Wine Excursions via 4x4 Mountain Adventure Tour will allow guests to meet at the Summer Adventure Center in Beaver Creek Village at 2:15 p.m. and then enjoy a drive across Beaver Creek Mountain top with an expert guide pointing out stunning views, flora and fauna, and explaining the history of the area. The tour will pass swaying aspens, wildflower fields and unique remote locale. The guide will ultimately bring the tour vehicle to rest for one hour at the famous Beano’s Cabin nestled at 9,200 feet at the base of Larkspur Bowl on the mountain. Beano’s Cabin’s expert team will lead this unique wine and cheese pairing on the spacious sundeck overlooking Grouse Mountain and Birds of Prey from 4 to 5 p.m. Wines selections from William Hill, Edna Valley and even La Marca Prosecco will be paired simultaneously with cheeses, a charcuterie board and dessert. After the pairing, the tour will return to Beaver Creek Village.

For guests looking to work up their appetite by hike, the professionally guided hike to wine tasting will meet at the Beaver Creek Hiking Center in Beaver Creek Village at 1:15 p.m. where guests can use light, top-of-the-line equipment including trekking poles and hiking boots. The hike will commence at 1:30 p.m. with a drive up to Talons Restaurant around 8,850 feet and then begin the hike to the pristine Beaver Lake, situated at 9,746 feet. This is a favorite trail among hikers at Beaver Creek, with three miles roundtrip and an elevation gain of 900 feet. On the return, the guide will direct the group into Beano’s Cabin for the tasting, to relax and indulge. Hikers will be shuttled back to Beaver Creek Village following the tasting.

Reservations are required and spots can be reserved by visiting www.BeaverCreek.com, by calling the Summer Adventure Center at (970) 754-5200 or by visiting the Summer Adventure Center in-person in Beaver Creek Village.
