Beaver Creek Music Experience Takes Over Wednesdays for Four More Shows
Beaver Creek, Colo., July 21, 2015 – After soulful and rockin’ performances by The Caleb Dean Band, Von Stomper and Tizer Trio, Beaver Creek Music Experience presented by Alpine Bank lays out four more performances for the summer on Wednesdays nights through Aug. 12.  Free yoga and an intimate music experience take place every Wednesday in and around Beaver Creek Village.

Starting at 4:30 p.m. yogis of all levels are invited to free outdoor yoga at Centennial Park on the grass next to Buckaroo Express Gondola. Yoga classes last until 5:30 p.m., presented by instructors from The Club at Allegria Spa in Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa. Some mats will be available for use; bringing your own mat, water bottle and sunscreen is encouraged. If in the case of inclement weather, the class will be held inside at The Cub at Allegria Spa and a maximum of 20 persons can be accommodated, so arriving early is recommended.

Concert gates will be open at 5 p.m. on Wed., July 22, and Mipso will take the stage at Creekside Park from 6 to 7:15 p.m. Mipso combines bluegrass, contemporary country, Gospel, pop, folk and American traditions to create their ever-so-pleasing sound. This North Carolina four-piece band has shared the stage with Steep Canyon Rangers and Chatham County Line. They have sly original lyrics, nostalgic melodies and optimistic rhythms and are truly fun to watch in-person. Guests can bring lawn chairs and blankets to set out on the grass and food and beverage will be available for purchase. Outside alcohol is not permitted.

On July 29 singer and songwriter out of Florida, Matt Hires, brings his original songs to the heart of Beaver Creek Village by Beaver Creek Ice Rink on the stage. Hires has toured and supported such artists like Needtobreathe, Matchbox Twenty, The Goo Goo Dolls, Paolo Nutini and Eric Hutchinson and his songs have been placed in popular TV shows like Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice, Cougartown, Life Unexpected and When in Rome. Hires is constantly putting out new music and was influenced by Dashboard Confessional, The Get Up Kids, Bob Dylan and Tom Petty.

Aug. 5 marks the return of Hazel Miller to Beaver Creek Ice Rink as she shows off her stunning, powerful and moving voice to the sounds of blues, jazz, pop and Gospel. Miller rose to the top of the music scene in Louisville, Kentucky and has taken Colorado by storm with 5280 Magazine readers making her their choice for best band in 2010 among many other awards including one of the top 150 people who make Denver a better place to live bestowed by the mayor Nov. 22, 2008. Since moving to Colorado in 1984, she has regularly performed with Big Head Todd and the Monsters and Beaver Creek is happy to welcome her back.

For the last performance of the summer, Aug. 12, The Crane Wives from Grand Rapids, Michigan return to Creekside Park in Beaver Creek with their homegrown indie-folk-rock sounds. Combining strong poetic vocals, bass guitar, percussion and a three-part harmony, they cascade a unique, dynamic sound. They received local critical acclaim for their first two self-produced albums and are working on another album. Their music is said to traverse innovative territory ranging from quiet ballads to danceable grooves.

All music performances go from 6 to 7:15 p.m. and are free. Looking for lodging? The Charter and The Borders Lodge specifically offer specials around the Beaver Creek Music Experience and can be found through Beaver Creek’s Summer Escape Offer which saves guests up to 35 percent off of lodging if booked by Aug. 15; visit BeaverCreek.com/offers for all vacation packages and to book.
