8th Annual Beaver Creek Wine & Spirits Festival Returns Aug. 8-10
Beaver Creek, Colo., July 25, 2014 — Liven up your taste buds this August and surround yourself in the serene beauty of Beaver Creek, for the 8th Annual Beaver Creek Wine & Spirits Festival Aug. 8-10, 2014 presented by Wine Spectator MagazineSignature events with top international and regional wines, spirits and culinary hosts, will return including Manhattans in the Mountains and the Walk-Around Grand Tasting. New events are sure to please the palate including Tacos & Tequila Pairing, Premium Port & Cheese Pairing, Hooked on Sushi & Sake and the “Dive In” Deep Eddy Vodka Experience. With a diverse selection of events and Beaver Creek Resort set as the backdrop for the weekend, visitors will enjoy this intimate alpine festival.

For three days, the Beaver Creek Wine & Spirits Festival will offer an eclectic selection of experiences beginning with Manhattans in the Mountains on Friday, Aug. 8, sponsored by Maker’s Mark, where guests will learn about the history and taste four expressions of the handmade premium Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey. Friday evening’s special fund-raising dinner at Splendido at the Chateau benefits the Vail Valley’s Bright Future Foundation and features a spectacular four-course dinner, paired with exceptional wines. On Sat., Aug. 9, the new Tacos & Tequila event guides guests through signature street taco dishes, Herradura Tequila and cocktails.
 
Saturday’s schedule continues with two new events in the village, the Premium Port and Cheese Pairing in the By Nature Gallery and Hooked on Sushi & Sake at Hooked restaurant, showcasing tips and techniques for the chef’s dishes while paired with the perfect sake. One of the most-anticipated events of the summer, the Walk-Around Grand Tasting on Saturday night celebrates delectable wine, spirits and gourmet cuisine.
 
On Sunday, Aug. 10, the Four X Fun High Mountain Adventure Tour lets attendees take a scenic chairlift ride followed by an open-air canopied Jeep tour of the mountain and culminating with wine samplings and a picnic lunch. The views will be as impressive as the lunch.

This seminar beautifully pairs two summertime favorites: barbecue and wine. Chef Ashton Fichtl from the Beaver Creek Chophouse will delight with his culinary creations that complement delicious wines in an intimate creek side setting.

The weekend culminates with a High Mountain Adventure 4x4 Tour on the mountain in an open-air canopied Jeep, a scenic chairlift ride up Strawberry Park Express Lift and then wine samples and a picnic at Mamie’s Mountain Grill on Beaver Creek mountain.
