Grand Teton Lodge Company Officially Opens for 2016 Summer Season
This Summer GTLC Celebrates the National Park Centennial and Every Kid in a Park

MORAN, Wyo. (May 5, 2016) – Grand Teton Lodge Company (GTLC), the premier operator of lodging and activities inside Grand Teton National Park, kicks off its summer season with the annual re-opening of Jackson Lake Lodge, Jenny Lake Lodge, Colter Bay Village and Headwaters Lodge & Cabins at Flagg Ranch as well as the Jackson Hole Golf & Tennis Club. The commencement of the summer season in the Park aligns with the National Park Service’s centennial celebration as well as the second year of supporting the national Every Kid in a Park initiative.

“This is an exceptionally exciting summer for GTLC with the National Park Centennial and we’re thrilled to offer new activities to celebrate the natural beauty and resources around us,” said Alex Klein, vice president and general manager of Grand Teton Lodge Company and Flagg Ranch Company. “Guests will have the opportunity to dive into the history of Grand Teton National Park with new interpretive boat cruises, specifically crafted for both the centennial celebration and the Every Kid in a Park initiative. This year’s visit to Grand Teton National Park – and for years to come – will be truly memorable.”

For the second year in a row, GTLC is proud to support the national Every Kid in a Park initiative. The program aims to engage every fourth grade student across the country and create opportunities for each child to have a meaningful experience in a national park. This year, GTLC is working towards that goal by hosting National Park Service Deputy Director Peggy O'Dell and, for the second year, the fourth grade class of Donald D. Stalker Elementary School from Blackfoot, Idaho, a Title I school 120 miles from the park, May 25-27.

Lodging Openings:
GTLC’s hub of activities, Jackson Lake Lodge, will open its doors on Monday, May 16, offering comfortable accommodations for adventurers and thrill seekers to retreat to after long days of exploration. Two new boat cruises were added to the schedule this year at Jackson Lake in honor of the centennial and Every Kid in a Park initiative.

For an authentic and rustic experience, travelers can book at Colter Bay Village beginning Thursday, May 26. Colter Bay offers a variety of lodging options including homestead cabins, tent cabins, campsites and a RV resort.

Grand Teton National Park’s hidden gem, Jenny Lake Lodge, will open its doors Wednesday, June 1, bringing four-diamond luxury and sophisticated dining options to those looking for an upscale national park experience. In 2015, Jenny Lake Lodge was named one of the “Top 20 Resorts in the West” in Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers' Choice Awards.

Enviably located between Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park, Headwaters Lodge & Cabins at Flagg Ranch will also open Wednesday, June 1.

In addition to various lodging options, GTLC offers a stunning golf course with some of the best views in the world at the Jackson Hole Golf & Tennis Club. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., the 18-hole course opened May 2 and includes a LEED Gold Certified Clubhouse, fine dining, and activities and events all summer long.
