Summer is in Full Swing at Keystone Resort with 36 Holes of Play Available Beginning May 30
KEYSTONE, Colo. — May 29, 2014 — Golf is in full swing at Keystone Resort, as the Keystone Ranch course opens with 18 holes of play beginning Friday, May 30. The Ranch will join the 18 holes of mountain-style play currently available at The River Course at Keystone for the resort’s complete 36-hole offering. Tee times for both stunning courses may be booked online at golfkeystone.com or by calling 800-464-3494. Through June 26, golfers can take advantage of early season specials, enjoying same-day play on all 36 holes for under $170, making the Keystone offering one of the best values in golf, and a top choice on any golfers “must-visit list”.

The Robert Trent Jones, Jr.-designed Keystone Ranch follows the legendary links-style of a Scottish course on the front-nine, while the back nine present a traditional mountain valley layout.  Winding through lodgepole pines, around sage meadows and across a nine-acre lake, this par-72 course features slight elevation changes and many bunkers for a scenic, challenging round of play. The course has been awarded several notable accolades, including “Best Wedding/Party Venue” and“Best Mountain Course” by Colorado Avid Golfer.

Before or after play, golfers may relax at the comfortable Ranch Clubhouse, enjoying breathtaking views and full-service facilities including lockers rooms, professionally stocked golf shop and the Keystone Ranch Restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and après snacks and beverages daily. The Ranch restaurant, an AAA Four Diamond outlet, features a stunning dining room plus sitting room, as well as a breathtaking deck overlooking the course’s back nine, providing one of the best sunset views in Summit County. Whether enjoying a casual post-round beverage or indulging in a five-course meal from Executive Chef Steven Vlass, the Ranch is the perfect way to end a great day on the links.

“The golf offering at Keystone is truly unmatched in Colorado,” said Keystone Resort Director of Golf and Recreation Steve Corneillier. “We have 36 holes designed by world-renowned course architects, the perfect summer climate to enjoy play throughout the day and a lively resort atmosphere making it a destination the whole family can enjoy.”

The Ranch Course is perfectly complimented by the stunning River Course, renowned for its impressive elevation changes, variable bunkers, water hazards and five-sets of tees on each hole. The Hurdzan-Fry designed masterpiece has earned a number of accolades including “Best Mountain Course”, “Best Wildlife Experience”, “Best Service” and “Best On-Course Views”.

New this season, Keystone provides guests an opportunity to pair its spectacular golf offering with the resort’s renowned culinary experience. Every Thursday, beginning June 19, The Keystone Ranch will host an afternoon spirit tasting featuring four Colorado craft spirits per week. For just $20, end a day on the links with exquisite spirit offerings carefully chosen by the professional staff at the Ranch. Additionally, golfers can partake in three “Wine and Nine” events throughout the summer, featuring a nine-hole scramble with shotgun start, followed by wine and whiskey pairing with Colorado cheeses.

The only 36-hole golf facility in Summit County, Keystone offers every level and style golfer an opportunity to enjoy challenging play in the stunning Rocky Mountain scenery of Colorado. Daily throughout the summer, guests can take advantage of various lessons and clinics including the new Birdies&Bettys ladies program and weekly clinics rotating between the resort’s two courses offering a fun, social and encouraging environment for female golfers.
