Denver, Colo. – March 6, 2017 – Cyclists of all ages can get a jump on their spring and summer pedaling program beginning Saturday, March 11 during the 17th annual Deals on Wheels event at all five Bicycle Village locations. The single largest bike sale in Colorado runs through Sunday, March 19 and boasts more than 3,000 adult-sized road and mountain bikes from top manufacturers such as Trek, Raleigh and Scott.

Prices start at $99.99 for Trek rental bikes sold “as is.” Every new bike purchase includes complimentary lifetime adjustments and tune ups. Sale begins Saturday, March 11 and runs through Sunday March 19. The biggest discounts will be found under the big tent at the flagship Bicycle Village store in Aurora at 2802 S. Havana with prices marked down as much as 70 percent. Deals on Wheels will also be taking place on the same dates at the four other Bicycle Village locations with bikes, gear, clothing and accessories up to 50 percent off.

Parents can also enroll children in the Kid’s Trade Up program offered at all Bicycle Village locations. The program makes it affordable and convenient for parents to keep their children on a properly sized and fitted bike year after year. Parents get up to 50 percent credit on a previous Bicycle Village purchase for a new junior bike within two years of first purchase. As kids grow, they can ride on the newest bikes with the latest technology and safety features while being on the right size bike for their height and weight. Each year, kids are measured and fitted to assure proper fit and the new bike gets a free tune to assure it is cleaned, oiled, adjusted and ready to roll.

Registration and information about the free Learn to Bike program for kids will also be available for the third consecutive summer. The program launches at the Bike Expo on Friday May 5 at the Aurora Bicycle Village. Classes are offered every Sunday morning at all five Bicycle Village locations beginning May 14 with start times varying by location. Sessions are taught by specially-trained instructors and assure that kids are fitted onto the right-sized bike, learn how to balance and steer, and learn a number of useful safety tips. Kids can participate as many times as they need to learn the basics. Average class size varies by location but all offer a one-to-four coach-to-student ratio.

“Colorado has an amazing network of trail systems in both urban and mountain environments and is a big part of our state outdoor culture,” explains Dwight Debroux, regional manager for Bicycle Village. “We know that cyclists, whether recreational or competitive, have a much better experience when they have well fitted equipment that is well tuned and so along with special sale and learning events during the season, we want to do everything we can to support to cyclists of all ages.”
