Vail Mountain Friday Afternoon Club Kicks Off Friday, July 3 at Eagle's Nest with Cowboy Hillbilly Hippy Folk

VAIL, Colo. – July 1, 2009 – Unwind and start the weekends off with Vail’s original and only mountaintop Friday Afternoon Club (FAC) at Eagle’s Nest. The 2009 summer series begins this Friday, July 3 with Columbus, Ohio-based Cowboy Hillbilly Hippy Folk band. The group claims influences from “every back porch pic’n hillbilly all over the world. Young and old, dead or alive,” and will make Vail its second stop on the Independence Tour through Colorado, July 2-9.

FAC begins every Friday at 5 p.m. on Talon’s Deck and features live music from blues and bluegrass to rock and reggae, spectacular sunsets and food and drink specials. All performances are free and the Eagle Bahn Gondola offers free scenic rides after 4 p.m. The 2009 band lineup includes:

  • July 3 - Cowboy Hillbilly Hippy Folk
  • July 10 -  Bluzilla
  • July 17 - All Strung Out
  • July 24 - Matt Clark Band
  • July 31 - Hustle
  • Aug. 7 - Missed the Boat
  • Aug. 14 - Mikee T & the Peaceful Warriors
  • Aug. 21 - Hustle
  • Aug. 28 - Matt Clark Band
  • Sept. 4 - All Strung Out
